Buyer BEWARE!: Company is big on PREDATORY Lending and practices. They DO NOT send out monthly statements or invoices of any kind updating and informing customer of his/her balance(s). Their website is very limited and poorly designed. Customers are unable to create any kind of customer account to track payments, account activity, etc. It is designed to take your payment without providing you with any kind of updated balance or account information. They advertise and cleverly reel you in with a “Same As Cash” promotion of 12 months BUT mail you a payment booklet with a payment amount and due date listed which, if followed, would take the customer well past the 12 month “same as cash“ promotion. In other words, their fine print is not only MISLEADING but intentionally designed for the customer to pay more than he/she originally agreed upon. When calling customer service, be prepared to deal with representatives who don’t care and want to quickly get you off the phone. They are vague and only respond with the same answers listed on their website which, in my opinion, is horrible. Think of a website designed for a business in the late 1900s, when those were just coming in to existence. You know, when businesses were taking to the this thing called the Internet to advertise and possibly sell their products. You get the idea. Put another way: DO NOT expect to view your account activity, make payments, etc. via any type of smart phone app. :( After getting nowhere with the representative, I asked for a supervisor. At this point, they are trained to not transfer you unless you give them a specific reason. A back-and-forth ensues which provides you with an even clearer picture of the type of company this is. When I was able to finally get a supervisor on the line, I requested from him the same. A monthly statement of sorts updating/informing me on my business activities with them. You know, that piece of paper or mailing you get from ANY legitimate company you’ve EVER done business with. The type that is sometimes considered junk mail because you’re able to track this type of thing online. That one. This gentleman proceeds to tell me the same thing his representative said. They do not provide monthly statements unless requested by the customer. The customer has to call in every month and request this. At this point, I’ve had enough. I informed him that I would be forwarding this matter to my attorneys and that I was done with the phone call. He quickly put me on hold for several minutes, came back and told me that he was able to initiate and set a monthly statement to be mailed out to me reflecting my balances, payment history, etc. Soo, Should I expect one? And the gym at one, at that? I’m not holding my breath. BUYERS: If doing business with any kind of retail establishment or salesman who have MERCHANTS ACCEPTANCE CORP. listed as their Finance Department/Lender, RUN! DO NOT give these people your business!!

John who is a manager with them was extremely helpful and after hearing my situation was nice enough to waive some fees that were due to fraudulent activity on my account. He replied to my email within an hour and spent time over the phone to help me resolve the issue and get everything back on track.

By far the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Andrew in the legal sector of the company is very unprofessional. John P. Is the only reason this place is getting 1 Star cause I wish i could give them negative stars. Tried to even negotiate for a balance that is not even mine and you can tell what they are after.

Im shocked that these guys are still a company and opened at all! Id love someone to call me and make things right but Im going to court with them cause no matter what and how much I have in my account my card gets denied and I have to pay 35 on top of my bill that is already 57 almost twice as much as I should have to pay for my kirby ! I would have NEVER got a kirby if I would of know Id have to deal with these guys merchants acceptance see you in court .... sorry to everyone having issues with them none of us deserve this !

Terrible! They cannot keep their own records current. They claim that you owe past due balance. When you still provide documents showing that you are current they'll still argue with you. I love my Rainbow but I cannot stand the fact that they are constantly wrong and will not correct their mistakes! UPDATE: On March 04, 2016 I contacted the BBB in regards to the situation, within 12 hours of me filing the complaint (in the complaint I wanted a formal letter of apology from the company) I had an email from Jarod Y who is the DIrector of Accounting Service. Mr. Y wrote the formal letter of apology stating that there was an error on MAC part. Mr. Y listened to the recording of the conversation and stated that in fact the CSR was wrong, he was written up and received a serious infraction. That my payments were in fact current, there are no late fees, or interest either.

This should help so many of you out....Merchants Acceptance Corperation is in the practice of commiting fraud and forgery on an daily basis...upon doing employment verification the literally cut your signature out of other documents and paste it on a piece of paper in order to collect information from your employer...Now with the amount of garnishments that they are certainly taking from people who more then likely struggle to feed their children and make ends meet, i think that this information maybe of service in future court cases in all states alike...Im sure it would be illegal in all states and youd be likely to have that garnishment removed if persued...this is blatent disregard for your privacy and the law and completely lacking in integrity for any company...Also all of your private information is comprimised by sending your credit application with all of your sensitive personal information is sent daily to employees private cell phones as Merchants has ZERO regard to the safety of your personal information. FIGHT their court cases...have your complaints sent in to the attorney general and any other entity that can be of service!

HORRIBLE!!!! You think it's bad as a customer?? They treat their employees like crap, ESPECIALLY Blake Bakken and her partner/alleged spouse Jarod Yoder. This place not only finances people who shouldn't be (fixed income, listing CHILD SUPPORT as applicable income for a Kirby purchase?!?!), but they also overwork and underpay their staff. They are delusional to think that high turnover is due to "the industry", it's DIRECTLY DUE TO THEIR POOR MANAGEMENT! The morale is so f'd up that the best staff leave, and anyone who complains gets targeted, harassed, and generally made to feel uncomfortable until they leave. I have personally seen AT LEAST two people get promoted, then Blake took back the promotion. One young man she did it to TWICE and made him cry (usual/standard for anyone who has worked under Blake). Blake and Jarod seem to be attempting to take control of the business even though they are NOT the owners. Blake is unscrupulous (I'd even say lacking in morals AND empathy) and even STOLE many of her distributors from her previous employer before coming to MAC. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS, OR BECOME EMPLOYED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!! There have been SO MANY employee complaints about Blake Bakken that there was talk of them filing a class action lawsuit, because of HER. BEWARE! Stay as far away from this place as possible! BTW, the review where the owner claims it was posted by an employee?? Completely true!!! They DO physically cut/tape your signature from one document to another, and claim that it is within their rights because of fine print. That was an honest review that they marked as a disgruntled employee. Question is, WITH SO MANY disgruntled employees how do you know who it is?

SERIOUSLY do you yourself a favor and tell whoever is selling you anything to get out of your home if this is the company they use to service their clients financing. Was contacted by a rep. for a missed payment. Not really missed, auto payment and the card number had changed after i had to have everything reissued over a lost wallet and i had not had an opportunity to call them back. I then returned their call to be connected to an sufficiently courteous yet obstinate collection rep who cared nothing about the situation only to get their missed payment and fees associated with the missed payment. MISSED PAYMENT FEE CARD DENIAL FEE PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE FEE I asked for the companies name as we did not have the best phone connection and in a condescending tone told he could spell it out for me if i liked or it helped or something to that effect. Nope i got it. lets go ahead and pay off the balance and i will not be doing business with any company that uses MERCHANT ACCEPTANCE CORPORATION to handle their payments and customer service or financing.

Just from what I've heard about this company they take advantage of the elderly and refuse to take the wife off the account since she said NO to purchase. Also all contact she's had has been severely rude to her. I for one would tell anyone thinking of buying from this company to run fast!
