    This Ballard BECU location allows it's customers to be ripped off by the building's private parking service. There is 30 min free parking for customers but only if you park in certain spots that aren't clearly labeled. As soon as you walk in the building the private parking attendant tickets your car $88 for a $1.50 per hour parking spot even if only used 10min. They do not mark the tires of cars so if you were to leave to go get documents and then come back they will ticket you because they think you were parked there the whole time and went over the 30 min limit. There are plenty of empty parking spots and signs that say 30 min free parking for people doing business at the Ballard Square. I was in and out of the building in less then 10 min using the bank and there was plenty of parking spots for anyone visiting. I have even parked in this same spot before and never received a ticket after using the bank previously. The vehicle license business owner Jeff that is located in the same building says the private parking service are thieves and do this to all the time to people that visit this building. They purposely make it confusing so they can make a quick dollar off someone just trying to conduct their personal business there. They figure no one will fight it and just pay the bill after being bullied by them. They also don't provide enough handicap parking spaces for the location just 1 spot when there should be 2-3 BY LAW. When confronting the BECU employees at this location about the parking issue I am told they can't do anything about it and I need to contact the parking service. So BECU is perfectly fine with and doesn't care about their customers getting ripped off while doing business with them. BECU by doing business at this location and not confronting the private parking service about ripping off your customers you are in fact condoning this bad behavior and should be ashamed of yourselves. Very poor customer service I am considering closing my new account I opened just a few months prior by recommendation of good service by a friend. I can't do business with a company that are perfectly fine with letting their customers be ripped off and fleeced by 3rd party companies they also do business with.

    I walked in with a somewhat complicated issue and Patrick was so patient and kind. The process took well over an hour and he had to speak with multiple people to really get to the bottom of my issue, but he was so nice about it. I really appreciate the wonderful service I received!

    Tyler Garcia was unbelievably helpful in regards to a problem I though I had with my credit card. Solved it within 3 minutes and then brought up some new account options for me that will end up greatly improving my credit score! He was also very patient and was actually fun to work with.     The absolute worst bank I've banked with. If you love not having access to your money at any given time, go ahead and give them a try. Otherwise, I have had more than a DOZEN times in the last YEAR when they would not allow me access to my account via the app, the website, or over the phone. You cannot turn two factor authentication off or choose a different method, it comes on whenever it feels the need to ruin your day by asking for the code it sent via text that you will receive 24 hours later. So if you lost your debit card, and need to transfer to a different account, you're out of luck as far as these technical wonders are concerned. Of course the overdraft system works perfectly though, right on time, everytime. They are entirely incompetent technically and blame this on safety and other half-truths.

    We got a loan started by phone then found the car we love then ended up getting to this branch at 5:50. This car is a unicorn, we just couldn’t stand to miss it. Aaron made such quick work of an ordinarily arduous process. He had to stay late to do it and we didn’t even notice how long he stayed after until we were done 20 short minutes later. He explained everything so eloquently that our choice was clear. Great job, Aaron D., the “j” is silent.

    Came in to BECU about 20 minutes ago. I put my name into the kiosk to wait for the next available representative. I was in the waiting area when a younger woman came in and began to type her name into the kiosk but then stopped and went over to a desk acting like she did not know there was a line. The representative told her “no worries” and began to help this woman instead of people who had been waiting patiently. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a BECU branch. THE USAGE OF THE KIOSK IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE AMONG ALL EMPLOYEES AND COSTUMERS. This representative was a younger, brunette woman and I hope to never have to be seated with her since she clearly lacks professionalism. Both the employee and costumer knew damn well that they were in the wrong, which was clear from the conversation I and others overheard. The worst part about the situation was that both the employee and the costumer knew they were in the wrong, yet neither of them cared to make it right. Very disappointed in BECU! I was too frustrated with the situation to stick around, especially since it was a busy day and who knows when the next representative would be available after I was just robbed of my turn.

    This review is of Jeff Stockand the Mortgage Advisor. I had come in to the Ballard BECU to get pre-approved for a home loan but Jeff swayed me out of applying by convincing me I would barely get any money. He gave me a quote of what he thought I would be pre-approved for and implied that it wasn't even really worth it because it would be so low. Being a fool, I just believed him and walked out. After more thought, I decided to try and apply for a pre-approval again with a different BECU Mortgage Advisor. Sure enough I was approved, and for 25% more loan than what Jeff thought I would get. Unfortunately for me, I had applied at another Bank as well during the time Jeff talked me out of applying with BECU, but I have decided against going with that other bank -- therefore, this BECU pre-approval cost me an extra hard inquiry on my credit report that would have just been lumped into 1 home-loan-inquiry ding if Jeff had been helpful when I initially wanted to apply. I'm unsure if he was discriminating against me because of my income, or if he was just too lazy or busy to want to help me apply. But either way, I would recommend avoiding Jeff as a Mortgage Advisor. He makes bad assumptions and didn't seem to have good intentions.

    Worst Customer Service! Long wait on a weekday afternoon. Person who helped me was uninformed and requested several documents that were NOT required. Seemed like they just wanted people to leave. I called their help line and spoke to a supervisor who set up a next day appointment saying I had everything set. Then the Service Rep at the Northgate facility was rude and dismissive saying I needed extra documentation that was never mentioned by previous branch nor the supervisor on the phone. These people are poorly trained and do not care. It's like they do everything to not get your business. GO TO A DIFFERENT BANK!

    I like BECU and the staff at this location are really helpful. All-in-all though, I've found becu to be very difficult on the technology front for my small business. Moving money out to different accounts or other banks has to be done by check. It's frustratingly old fashioned.
