DO NOT BANK HERE !!! They are a joke, always locking me out of my account, charging me like $150 all the time for nsf fees that I never approved, refuse to fix the issues, won’t help me on the phones, delayed transactions, just all around a horrible experience since day one. Like 4 years ago .

I'm on the fence with this company I've been a customer for over 4 years never had a problem until this year maybe systems changed definitely new faces but not welcoming feelings making transactions in my account without even contacting me and notifying me and then the manager was supposed to give me a call I had to call them back and it was like "oh well."...🤦🏾🤷🏽smh

There is no reason to have to write for "mobile deposit only" on the back of a check when doing so through the app. Never had to do that for other banks. Of course its for mobile deposit only, im depositing it through my mobile..... once its done that way, the check cannot be deposited again. so theres no point.. plenty of people probably marked heir checks voided too, and then never got the money. Oh no, now the check is useless since it was marked void. I cannot wait to get my money out this bank. Too bad my damn tax refund is set up here...

Experience with Ascend has been just horrific. We bought a car for my wife and her auto loan was through ascend. If I had known; I would've done whatever it took to avoid that. We have been "late" now on two payments. It's impossible to make a payment. We've gotten no statements, not anything in the mail, you can't register anything with them online. I've emailed them multiple times to their socialmedia@ account with no reply. I'm on hold now for 43 minutes and counting, only after their auto answer service disconnected me about 8 times already. All I'm trying to do is make a freakin' car payment. You can look at their locations around the Nashville area and see every single spot has a terrible rating; 1 minute of research will show you this is a disaster of a business and they couldn't care less about customers. I am a CPA who runs a virtual practice and I can't figure out one single thing they're trying to do here. It's beginning to feel like a practical joke.

I have been a member for 4 years now and their customer service has always been great! Being a member at a Credit Union, the rates are generally better and fees are much more reasonable. I simply trust the credit unions more. The new location on Charlotte is top notch and very convenient. I've opened a business account here and a 2nd personal, and happily closed my Regions bank account. No more big banks for me and no more monthly fees for not linking my direct deposit nor swiping my card a certain number of times per month! :) Someone mentioned the strange set-up at the teller spot: yes, it's unique, but it's a very clean and open atmosphere without long wait times. I wouldn't rate a place any less simply because it's a bit unique. As long the my rates are good and the customer service is great, that's the main thing.

I will be removing my auto loan from here as fast as possible. They are unable to do an ACH payment from my bank, therefore it takes 10 days for the payment to process, which means even tho I paid two weeks early, it is still accruing interest for those 10 days. The only way I can make the payment to have it added that day is to drive in to the office and pay cash. The staff at the Mt Juliet Branch are not the least bit friendly or helpful, especially an older lady who sits at the front desk. I would NEVER recommend anyone to bank here.

The folks here are pleasant, but they have a lot of difficulty answering any questions you have -- I can't tell if they are poorly trained or simply unaccustomed to human contact. The business itself is bureaucracy run wild. You can't call an individual branch; you can only call a general number (or an extension to an individual). At least one branch (Melrose) doesn't even have a teller -- all your transactions are via an ATM. And if you deposit a paper check into a "new" account, even if it's a cashier's check from your previous bank, they hold the funds for TWO WEEKS -- and they don't tell you that ahead of time. I am going to have to do some fancy footwork to pay this month's bills now. All in all, if you want to bank with Skynet, this place is for you. Otherwise, you should stay away.

So I am wondering why use a credit Union? Well, there was a time when having a savings account, particularly a Credit Union, the savings interest rate was typically higher. That is no longer true... So, going back to the original question... Why use a credit union? For what? I just used them as mortgage lender and I received no discounts of ANY type and I've been a member for 7+ years with no bounced checks etc. Direct deposits? Absolutely! Do yourself a favor and shop around.... But first, cleanup your credit while shopping.

Staff is always very nice here. However whenever I go inside its always different times, minimal line but always takes a very long time compared to the quick turnover that the tellers elsewhere accomplish. I understand there's problems that customers have that might take a bit more time to deal with and that's ok. It's every time though. Today I was in there for over ten minutes that im sure of - more than that if I looked at the time when I walked in. This entire time I was up at the front desk. I initially walked in behind a woman - she was greeted and sat and employee walked off. I stood there being an account holder for close to 20 years without even a greeting for this time. Seeing the employee who sat customer in front of me walk off and a couple others walking around. I completely understand that everyone is busy doing something even though they might not look like it. The tellers were busy and I did not need their service. When I was finally noticed I could overhear someone asking the teller if I had been helped - she must of said no and said said something obviously perturbed about the situation (maybe being understaffed) But she did not even say anything to me after that, walked back behind where I could not see her and the teller politely asked if I had been helped since she did not have a customer and helped me check in... Everything went smoothly after that, actually caught myself smiling about the whole situation on the way out mainly because of Emma who's very nice. I don't like giving bad reviews but I can't help it. I hope someone will read this and address this issue. I myself am from Tullahoma - using that branch and surrounding ones has always been a breeze even during lunch or Friday rushes. Look forward to giving this branch a different review!
