    This branch constantly makes up their own rules that no other veridian location seems to be using. I’ve been a business customer with veridian for over 2 years and I usually visit the Johnston location. I started coming to this branch because my children switched daycare’s and it’s on my route. Every single time I come here there’s an issue with something. The last time I waited over and hour because they put a “new rule” in place the night before when I dropped off my deposit. Upon picking it up I didn’t have my ID as I’ve never been asked and they gave me so many issues getting my money even though I knew the exact deposit amount, change order amount and the business info. I asked them to send a verification text to me so that I could get to work and that took even longer. I ended up opening my store late because of this. The manager was very snooty and acted as if I was bothering her because they held up my day. Today I came through to drop off my deposits and now I’m being told that I’m not allowed to place change in my deposits if I use the drive thru… it was a few cents per deposit and I’ve NEVER been told this at any other branch. When I was asking the teller questions because I was genuinely baffled she rushed off the intercom and kept telling me to have a good day because she didn’t want to answer my inquiries. These have to be the RUDEST people in banking. After the previous issue I stopped depositing my card transactions into this account and I’ve only been bringing cash as little as possible to make sure the account does not go negative. After today I will be closing the account altogether.

    Good customer service, I gave 3 stars cause the drive thru is slow. I ask a teller about it she said there are only a couple of us working the drive. When the drive thru is full there should not be a couple of tellers working 4 lanes.

    My husband and I share a bank account, that just happens to not have my name on it, even though at one point, half the account total had been contributed by me. I came in and asked if i could exchange my own 20 dollar bill, for two rolls of quarters, even bringing our checking information to prove the account. I could tell that the teller i was talking to wanted to help, but his managers were quick to not give me any kind of service. Would not recommend this financial institution, simply due to the terrible customer service.

    Working in customer service for almost half of my life, I was always taught that no matter what you're doing, you always greet the customer as they come in. I walked in and no one said anything. I am not hurt by it but I like to critic my experiences when I come into places that are supposed to treat customers with good customer service. I did not feel any warmth from the people working there. Barely any smiles. I know that sometimes work can get hectic but a smile makes a difference.

    They put a 5 business day hold (8 days) on a company check. Not very business friendly for people that need to get paid.

    The branch on Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines Iowa is very hard to get in and out of their parking lot or even to use the drive-up teller! Plus their tellers are rude as can be! I will drive 15 miles put of my way to go to a different branch for now on! Love the credit union but that branch on Ingersoll Ave needs to teach their tellers to have better attitudes!!

    I'm giving a 5-star rating because I experienced exceptional customer service. Yes on some occasions the drive-thru may be a little busy but you got to count for the day of the week because some days are busier than others. I find it kind of odd that folks are being charged fees at this particular Credit Union I myself have never experienced that and hope I never will have to. I am kind of curious as to when the Veridian will open back up in Hy-Vee's?

    I started going to Veridian Credit Union because it was convenient. Then I did not have a charge every month for my checking account which was great. As I look at Veridian and how it helps people in many ways (just a pleasurable experience adding or withdrawing money and the tellers are so helpful) I would suggest people seriously look at credit unions. There is a wealth of services for everybody. I have recommended credit unions to people who are looking for a car loan because the rates for members are lower than banks. Take a look at credit unions near you. They could fit you better than the financial institution you are with now.

    I've banked at Veridian for a long time now and have always had good service from them but I had an absolutely outstanding experience at this location a couple months ago. I went in to sign some simple paperwork that I had started on line and was expecting to have to wait for someone in an office to open up but the teller, I think his name was Danny, pulled it up and was able to get everything taken care of for me on the line in a matter of minutes. He really took charge of the situation and exceeded my expectations. Always happy to see good and empowered tellers like this.
