United Check Cashing S 2nd St, Philadelphia

A very pleasant experience. The woman who was working was understanding and friendly. She initially said she wouldn't be able to cash my check but asked me some questions/information since I was in a unique situation and was willing to do it if she was able. In the end, she WAS able to cash it and we even had a pleasant conversation. Usually people say "no" and that's that. She was personable and reasonable so I'd go back anytime. Just a tip: Be friendly and understanding to people who are working a mundane job all day and they just might return the favor. **UPDATE** Went back again. Different woman, same great, friendly service. A pleasure to do business there.

Very nice people I never had a problem cashing any of my checks here some places will give you a hard time . Plus I work across the street at the diner so they know I’m a regular. And I live a pretty good 15 min away by car and I travel here even on my days off just to cash my check. I will continue to go here because the ladies are very nice and helpful.

The woman who works here is rude when I asked her why didn't I get back the full amount of money I was supposed to receive. Then she asked for my age like what does my age have to do with anything? Just because I'm 22 does not mean I'm not aware of the rules/regulations/policies/fees of sending or receiving money. Also, I did not ask her to process a check that she wrote herself so that there will be an additional fee. Overall, she provided poor customer service and I won't be going back here.

If I could give a zero stars I would. I arrived in the store at 5:49 just to be turned away by the cashier saying she's closed. Don't do business with this store. And she had the nerve to say I don't care tell the manager.
