Absolute worst bank I have ever encountered. It’s impossible to get anyone to answer the phone it rings and rings until it disconnects you. The main branch is temporary closed due to covid. I actually had someone pick up twice the first time a young man starts yelling in the phone as if he couldn’t hear me speaking. Then a week later a female answered she never asked for my account information and put me on hold until I was transferred bank into que and eventually the call disconnected. I should have gotten her name before she had a chance to do this. What I need these documents for is crucial for medical purposes. This bank is horrible! Do not bank with these people.

It hurts me to leave this review given the sparse nature of black owned banks and they're immense impact on small business loans within disenfranchised communities. However, this is by far the most archaic bank I have ever worked with which includes a rural bank in Tennessee. What they call online banking is a joke given that they run on a mostly paper system. The employees are nice and want to help however the system is extremely outdated and not conducive to modern day banking demands. Hopefully, this review will be useful in revitalizing this bank. Until then, I am forced to cut ties with this institution.

I called this institution, trying to become a member and spoke with someone with a bad attitude. I was told I would receive a callback- - never did. I even went to the bank trying to join, again was told I would receive a phone call, and that never came either. I don't understand the discrimination, was looking forward to banking Black in my metro area. I have looked elsewhere.

Consumer beware. Horrible bank. The branches are closing down due to horrid customer service and inept personel. They refused to resolve a situation with regards to a minimal fee, during a pandemic. It was less than 2 cups of coffee, yet I was given no other resolution besides crossing there threshold. It was less than lunch at subways. No email systems working and funky attitudes. I opened my account there in support, and I am disguisted at the demolishment of the values from their founders. This bank is supposed to be the black owned pinnacle for unity when its founding member established it was to support black people and help grow our communities. They have not lived up to the dream and I suggest you do not support them. The poor customer service is the reason they are shutting down branches, not the power of the black dollar.

Been at this bank for over several. Love this bank. It displaced nothing but great customer service from the accountants to the security to management. This bank i can honestly say threw MY experience makes me feel comfortable and make me feel like we're blood related everytime i enter. The black manager that's been there for years is definitely a nice guy amd easy to talk to. Overall, i refuse to change banks.

It's a bank. Not a credit union, so there are some fees. But what's more important is that it's black owned. Support yourself.
