SDCCU Encinitas Branch N El Camino Real, Encinitas

I'm really frustrated with them. I've banked with them for years and the last year has just been a horrible experience. Hours 10-4 really? How am I supposed to do my banking? I work for a living. Now trying to call them and you can't even get ahold of a human without entering account information. Just feels so corporate and dispassionate. I guess I'm in the market for a different bank or credit union.

I've banked with SDCCU for years....and this branch still insists on putting a hold on my checks when no other branch does... even after I spoke with the manager. They are always friendly, but I am depositing money to make sure I meet my obligations, being told they're putting a hold on funds doesn't help me. If you are a business owner, you have been warned.

Transfers come out more than once damaging my back account status, no solution from bank. Atm machines NEVER WORK, won't take cash. Crummy inconvenient bank. Don't make the mistake of taking out a car loan with them, they make it the most painful difficult experience of your life. Thank gosh I'm years ahead on my loan payments, and nearly done so I can close my accounts. They get my money but I dont get service. Nice bank huh?

They do try hard. But I really don't want to be asked "how's your day goin?" and "got any plans for the weekend?" every time by a twenty-something. I'd just like a professional transaction minus the trite chit chat. I'm not there to visit and, as an adult, I feel a little put off by the overly-friendly obviously scripted stuff. A little more professionalism and a little less "fluff?"

Impossible to contact monthly transfer charges, monthly charges for too little money ect. Predatory shifty app and phone system. Impossible to contact the physical business ect.

Great group of people who make you feel like a star each time you walk in. I have never gone to the branch as often as I do now that SDCCU has opened a branch in PQ. Their involvement with PQ locally has touched the community; PQ Banners, PQ Fiesta and thinking locally! The branch is now apart of our community, not just a business.

So much better than WF ever was. They never try to rip you off. Great service every time. The car buying service is super useful.

Friendly staff, if you are able to get ahold of them...
