PECU is a wonderful Credit Union. I have had several accounts over the last 40+ years and their service is impeccable. Member Services is wonderful about solving my problems. Diana, Lauren, and Christine are just a phone call away and always have a solution for my problems. They have been wonderful about assisting with online banking, mobile deposits, car loans, you name it, they have a solution.

Unbelievable bad service! I paid off my car loan and wanted to close my savings account with them. I tried to transfer the balance of $16.30 myself and close the account online but it would not let me take out the last $5. So I sent a secure message to the bank so I can get the last $5. Apparently, they are unable to do simple math. I received the $11.30 in an electronic transfer and a check for $13.30. I contacted the bank and let them know I was overpaid and I only had a remaining balance of $5. The representative said they appreciated my honesty and then informed me my account was overdrawn because of the electronic transfer. She also said they charge a $3 fee to mail me a check which is why the current check I had in my hand was for $13.30. I asked if that fee could be waived since I am contacting them. She went and talked to a supervisor and said yes as long as I mail the check back. I said then I would get a check for $5. She said yes we will send you the $5. I mailed the check back and then received a check for $2. Really?! When I contacted them back about the $3, an employee named Christine who said she was in charge said they will not refund the original $3 fee but waived the second $3 fee on the check for $2. Ridiculous. So if they had not "waived" the fee on the second check then I would owe them a dollar because of their mistake on the first check. Christine began to get rude stating the subtraction from $13.30 and $11.30 is $2 which I received. I am quite proficient in mathematics. It is apparent this bank is not and they lie to their customers. They don't even let you know there is a fee for them mailing a check until after. Until this experience, I thought PECU was a nice bank but now I see what the people mean by rude and condescending service.

Hello, I phoned PECU to inquire about opening a new checking account to use for bill payment. Ms. Lauren was the customer service representative that took my call and provided me with professional, personal, knowledgeable, courteous and genuine attention to my need. She explained the process and offered me the best option available at PECU. She even went the extra mile and set up my beneficiary information for my children. I was more than pleased with this young professional. In my opinion she is simply awesome 💐
