PNC Bank Academy Rd, Philadelphia

Branch is clean. During time of Covid, they take well covid protocols. Masks required for customers and all staff. Clear plastic board on teller counters. Hand sanitizer was provided in the lobby right before you enter to line up. The teller that assisted me was very nice and she does try to fulfill my request the best she can. This location also has drive thru and ATM service available. ATM is right outside to the right of the entrance and is not drive thru though. Parking lot to the side of the branch.

Went to this PNC recently to cash my paycheck since my paystub is affiliated with PNC, I dont have an account with them so i knew they would most likely charge a fee, the young lady collected my check, and my two forms of ID. She proceeds to “verify” my check on the phone and was taking a while but also staring at me during the process which made me very uncomfortable. Another young woman comes over to her to assist her with “verifying ”the check and then she comes up to the windoe to inform me that she can not cash it because they believe it cant be verified. I asked for a manager and there was not one there (its a bank…. How sway?) i grab my check and go to another pnc not far away and they scanned my check into a machine after collecting my identification and asked “how would you like your cash”? Needless to say i felt discriminated upon and they clearly didnt have the proper tools to verify checks. I will never go back to this location!

I do not understand why they work so slow. The atm was not taking deposits. You can not go into the lobby to make a deposit. I waited in line outside for more than 15 min behind one car. I would probably have still been waiting if it wasn’t for me leaving. I went to citizens bank and no issues. I was able to walk inside and make my deposit without any issues. Save yourself the headache and stay away from this location.

Not a bad bank, place is clean and never had a problem.

Carlos Pichardo is the best Manger @ this branch as he goes above& beyond for the customers as he makes me have a excellent experience @ this bank. Give Carlos Pichardo a raise& promotion. Also Jenna Wurz is the best bank teller as her& Carlos Pichardo make me want to do business @ this branch only. Jenna Wurz deserves a raise& a promotion as she also goes above& beyond for the customers as well.

So many issues with this branch. My husband needed a new debit card due to a fraudulent charge. So we're waiting in the area for at least 20 minutes with no acknowledgment. We had plans so we walked out. Then I needed to make a large withdrawal from my checking account. They told me that I needed to call in advance to access my own money. At least the teller called Bensalem to get this accommodated for me but still. It's my money and I shouldn't feel obligated to owe an explanation as to why I need it.

I have been a customer of pnc for 20 years and have never experienced unprofessionalism like I have at this branch. Went to cash a check from another bank and even though I had funds to cover the check in my accounts they refused to cash it unless I transferred all of the funds into one account. When I told the teller, I wasn’t going to be able to do this she handed me back my check but held onto my ID. The teller had an attitude the whole time I was there. I now have to return to the branch which is an hour away and retrieve my ID, still don’t have the check cashed. would have given negative stars if it would let me. update just went for my ID and the teller that was the one who didnt return my ID was there and hid my ID so the branch manager had to spend extra time looking for it. I am so angry right now.

Have account with PNC for 10 years and never had so many problem with just one branch. Branch manager never there. Account manager is so incompetent that she need help from 2 other people to make a simple domestic wire. Service that would take 5 min will take you hours. The worst part is that after all the effort the wire didn't went through and they wouldn't know why and would not refund the fee. I've double checked the beneficiary info and all were good. PNC bank proved that are a cheap bank with horrible service with incompetent people. Canceling my account as soon I they give my money.

Very poor service. The lobby is closed Why? Other banks are allowing a few people at a time in. Today I waited in drive thru 22 minutes with 4 cars in front of me. My transaction only took a few minutes to complete.. Very frustrating... I would not recommend PNC to anyone....

If you live in this area and are looking for a bank to go to, I recommend this one very highly! Talk to Nancy Snyder, she has helped me considerably. The tellers are very friendly and extremely helpful. Plus they are open on Saturday.
