It pains me greatly to write this review. I had been a satisfied member of PFCU for 20 years and had no issues. I felt my money had always been safe. Then during COVID, my account was hacked and wiped out. The security measures I had in place FOR YEARS had been overwritten by the bank which gave thieves access to my account. I was not home to receive my mail as I had to care for a family member who nearly died from COVID, however once I found out and brought it to their attention, they acted like I was the thief! Nobody wanted to take responsibility for the nearly $10,000. STOLEN FROM MY ACCOUNT. When I asked what happened to the limits I'd place on ATM withdrawals, they said, "You can't put limits on how much you take out because the system automatically sets it at $500.00. So now, I'm just out of money with PFCU taking NO Responsibility!!!

I just got off the phone with Janet she’s rude and disrespectful. I never had to provide proof to any bank about a transaction I wished to dispute. I have no idea if she’s empathetic or nonchalant, but I don’t understand how she missed valid points in which or why it was I wanted to dispute my transaction with Priceline. I felt like she tried to talk down to me mentioning her personal experience with flying and it wasn’t about her. Like if I’m telling you I paid additional money for bags and to get my money back in case anything happens with the flight. She kept saying I need proof you talked to the merchant in order to process the refund at this point I’m ready to switch banks.

I hate this place. It’s almost impossible to get in touch with someone via phone. They don’t reply to emails and the website/app sucks. They want you to come to the branch for every little thing. I work during the hours they are open so it’s almost impossible for me to get there. I’ll be closing my account here asap. My biggest problem is transferring money to my other accounts or to other members. They keep telling me use the website and it doesn’t work when I try to move it to my wells. The page won’t even load up

The customer service reps here are rude! So if your looking for professionals this is not the bank for you! The managers are LIARS!!!!! I had a branch manager lie to me about a home loan application then I had a manager lie to me about a dispute form being emailed to me when the form only can be mailed or signed at the bank! The tellers at the Dauphin street branch are also rude!

I am truly surprised at the negative reviews, can only say that I've not experienced any of the issues as they describe. I've been with this bank for 33 years and have been very satisfied. I like their online and mobile app, and I LOVE the people at the other end of their online "chat". I understand the "rules" concerning mobile deposits and the wait-time for checks to clear, and though nobody wants to wait for their money to be accessible, all banks do this. I've only been in to the actual bank about 5 times in 33 years, so can't evaluate on-site staff. The only negative I have found is that their loan rates are not competitive and it's annoying to have to go to another bank to get a loan.

I've been a loyal customer with PfCu for over 5 years now and never had issues until i applied for a mortgage. Their mortgage department is terrible. I received a pre approval and everything was fine initially. I didnt find a house so it was time to renew the pre approval. I sent the documentation over a month ago as they requested. I received a call and was told everything was fine and I would receive an increase with my new pre-approval. As I waited for the official pre approval letter I proceeded with searching for home. I left a message and emailed my lender multiple times for the letter and he never responded. I find a house to bid on but couldn't proceed with the bid without the letter. I followed up again only to be told that I needed more money down than what I was initially approved. They didnt explain the issue, I asked why and noone could really explain. I escalated to their supervisor and still no real answer. i am going to bank elsewhere n find a new lender. They are unprofessional and irresponsible.

I have a checking account, a savings account, a line of credit and a loan. I have been a customer with this bank for over 10 years and I deeply regret all of the time that I have wasted with investing my money in this terrible financial institution. I have a tight budget and pay my bills down to the last dollar. I live paycheck to pay check so I cannot afford for any miscellaneous charges to hit my account. Beware! This bank does not like to waive their bank fees, so you're on your own if your account ever goes negative. I had an unauthorized charge to my account because a credit card payment tried to hit my account twice. I called PFCU customer service and they wanted to charge me $15 to place a stop payment on the charge but wouldn't budge when I asked to have it waived because I am the one being inconvenienced! You want to charge me to protect my account from a transaction that I didn't authorize!? I'm calling to dispute the charge because I don't want to spend any extra money period! I get paid bi-weekly, and I expect to have my acct balance left in tact until I get my next paycheck. The credit card merchant has agreed to refund the $129.50 charge, but you won't place an immediate block to prevent another auto debit of funds out of the acct unless I pay an additional $15!? Whose the scam artist here!? They have a policy, if you caused the issue, they say there is nothing more we can do. I have worked at First Union, Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo through all of those bank mergers for 8 years and the first thing that I've learned is that there is always something you can do, and to always try to go above and beyond for your customer. In this case I DID NOT cause the issue, but providing the highest level of customer service to protect my account was not even a priority unless I paid them. :( After my loans are paid off I am closing my accounts. I am posting this on every pfcu listing because that is how angry I still am!

Worst credit union. They nickel and dime their members. I left them due to this fact. They charged me a $28 overdraft fee then charged me $5 a month for not keeping it at a certain amount. I came in today and tried to pay them and they tacked on another $5 to close out the account. So they hit me in almost $70 in fees and they never paid out the item that caused the account to overdraft. When I went to pay the fee, they told me the amount owed was $64.79 two times. I wrote the check out for the $64.79 and then the rep came back and said I owed another $5 and could I please write out another check? She said it was to close out the account. I got so mad, that I got up & left. She never once said “Hold on. Let me get my manager.” Nothing. I’m out of work; I lost my job of 12+ years. They refused to remove any fees to help me out and then they added on another $5. Don’t go here. Go to PFFCU in Bensalem. Much better credit union for sure and their fees are less.

Matthew S. is AMAZING!! This place and the people here are so friendly and so accommodating... you never feel rushed or pressured- and yet there's none of that being ignored or feeling lost in a bank of just standing around waiting for someone to notice you're alive. Informative, Helpful and courteous. Other banks could benefit a LOT from the social interaction modeled in this location...i can't say enough about my experiences here.
