If you need a loan then Chris is your guy!! He is our loan guy and we have had the best experience. It’s our first loan and we had lots of questions for him. He was patient with us and was super helpful. Then when we went to buy the car the dealership’s Financial guy didn’t want us calling our loan guy and so things were kind of mixed up and such. But in the end Chris took care of everything and made us at ease! He is great!
Anna, Thanks for sharing your experience with Chris! We hope you're enjoying your new ride. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else. Best, -OnPoint

After getting married my wife and I switched our accounts over to OnPoint and have been with them for over two years now. They have always been friendly and eager to help and have our best interest in mind. I got a great interest rate on my auto loan and it was very simple to setup, and their online features make it really easy to pay family and friends electronically. We also use their bill pay feature which works flawlessly. Would recommend to anyone looking to switch banks.
Hi Joseph, thank you for your membership and for taking the time to share your kind words! Sincerely, OnPoint Community Credit Union

Horrible service. I had an over drafting fee from a car rental service while we were moving last year. Paid the debt in full and have the proof the show for it. Was told that once I paid the debt, I could open a new account. Get to the closest OnPoint after a 23 min drive and have the representative that is helping me, get on the phone, say my information followed by “yes. Yes, I understand. Even with her letter as proof of payment? Ok. Sounds good to me. “ hangs up. “I’m sorry but you can not open an account with us due to the hardship losses we suffered”. Ok. Then why was I lied to and told otherwise. I am a night auditor and don’t have the time to drive an hour out of my way over lies. Not to mention the lost sleep. The sad part is that I have always loved their customer service, though that was primarily in Portland. I am a big supporter of credit unions but not those that waste my time. I don’t even see how it is a financial hardship for them since I all but begged to pay them directly so that they wouldn’t have to pay a debt collector or even use one at all.... but yeah. He just looked at me like I was going to cause a scene. Which I just don’t do. Sorry. I actually thought he was causing a scene by saying my information really loud in a quiet establishment and putting my business everywhere. Unprofessional but hey, customer service is a dying art.

I traveled 3 1/2 hours to purchase a truck from one of their members. I didn't come with the correct paperwork and was going to open an account and have the loan processed through them. The only sticking point was that it usually took 24 to 48 hours for new members to be approved. The branch manager was gracious enough to waive that so I could leave with my new truck. I couldn't be happier with the service, thank you.
Hi Marcelo, Glad that we could help! Hope you enjoy your new Truck! Sincerely, OnPoint Community Credit Union

Made an apt over the phone for 11:30 due to our limited time window. Showed up, no appointment found. So we waited 20 min to talk to someone. We ended up talking to Justin Apa, who was incredibly rude. When I returned from taking our toddler to the bathroom he didn’t even introduce himself. Just asked for my SSN and stayed quiet looking on his computer. Had to ask for our address twice. When my husband said he saw different information on there website then what Justin was telling us Justin QUICKLY turned his computer around to prove him wrong. (Unnecessary!) Instead maybe he should ask questions to figure out where the confusion was. The conversation was left dead and quite awkward so we quietly stood up and walked out. He didn’t even say goodbye, not a peep. So my husband called the direct OnPoint phone number shortly afterward and the wonderful gentleman on the phone was able to answer all our questions in a very polite and respectful way. We have multiple properties, one which is through OnPoint and we definitely will not be returning for any mortgage needs.

I like this branch and the business. There is an employee here, however, who is consistently rude and incompetent. In the future I will specifically request NOT to deal with her. She always makes us feel like a burden not worth her time, and even misspelled our last name on our debit card even after we spelled it out twice for her. When we pointed it out to her she said we would have to come back later to fix it because it was too close to closing time. Every other person I've interacted with here is amazing. I would rate 5 stars if not for one employee.

I cannot begin to describe my frustration with this place! It feels very much like they WORK, and WORK HARD to find ways to screw with you, from the notary nazi who has turned down my husband and me twice (referring us to the UPS store which charges $10 a pop), to thhere car oan guy who refused to return phone call/e-mail inquiry, to the counter staff/management who would only allow a check to be deposited into our account if the mechanic co-listed on the check was a signer on our account. They turned me around, at rush hour I might add, to go find this guy and have him re-endorse. I am looking quite fondly at U.S. Bank and would NOT recommend this branch for ANYTHING.

Currently shopping around for a bank/credit union to establish my first account in the States. I originally planned on opening with OnPoint but after the lack of customer service or drive from the teller women I was unfortunate to encounter, I'll pass. I wasn't offered a brochure, asked what account I was looking for - nothing but stone cold stares with no interest in the potential establishment of an account. The complete opposite can be said for my experience at Umpqua. It's unbelievable how people can be employed for a customer service roll and fail so miserably at it.
Hi Sir, We apologize that you didn't experience the excellent member service that we always strive to provide. Would you mind sending your contact information in a private message so that we can follow up? Thank you, and we look forward to connecting with you. Sincerely, OnPoint Community Credit Union

Terrible experience. Made me spend $15 to become a member just to tell me that my small car loan was declined even with a large down payment and average credit, on top of gathering tons of documents they requested. Terrible service and a big waste of time. They do not care about their new members and will not try to find a way to make things work for you.
Ed, we apologize that we were not able to provide this service to you. Please understand that there are a number of factors that go into a credit decision. Whenever possible, we try to take into account more than just credit worthiness. That being said, if you send us a direct message with your contact information, we would be happy to look into this experience to ensure that we handled it with the highest level of care and consideration. We hope to hear from you soon. Best, OnPoint
