Some of my student debt was transferred years ago to these shady creeps from Sallie Mae (without giving me any choice). Today I called about a mysterious new statement claiming there are “unpaid fees” on my account. As it turns out, these alleged fees appeared on my account in 2019-20 (so why send me a statement about them in 2022?!?!) and I don’t even have to pay these fees now because they’ve already been capitalized! And whom did I learn this from? A woman on the phone in the Philippines who didn’t even understand my question. Navient, are you incompetent, corrupt, or both?! Buzz off!!

High interest rates and they take advantage of young people with capitalizing on loans and charging fees that don't match up. Even during a global pandemic it was still charges fees. Now they are refusing to correct the ONLY bad mark on my credit report which is by them. I think our government says it best: "Navient spent over a decade boosting its profits by cheating students and taxpayers and evading accountability, and after years of pushing the Department of Education to end this cycle of corruption, I'm glad that Navient will finally be held accountable for their predatory behavior," said Senator Warren

lol they sent me a letter in a huge plastic envelope. just one piece of paper. what a waste. just send an email or use a paper envelope. huge companies asking for money by wasting money and harming the environment. i hope this company sinks hard.

May the curse of Allah be upon the corrupt people that work for and maintain this organization. May he treat this no differently than alcohol.

The person that left five stars either was drunk or works for Navient. Never had to deal with such a shady, unethical company before. They constantly lie through their teeth about repayment options and absolutely refuse, under any circumstances, to renegotiate a monthly payment plan if you can’t afford yours. I never even chose this company, got a letter in a mail one day saying some of my accounts were being transferred with zero option to protest or appeal.

STUDENTS BEWARE- DO NOT USE THIS LENDING COMPANY! I've been paying for 8 YEARS and not seen hardly $100 come off my balance. Their interest rates are through the roof making it nearly impossible to put money towards principle. They are unwilling to allow for lowered payments even if you don't make enough money to pay your rent. I'm disgusted this place is even legal and regret every day ever signing up for this.

Students beware. You cannot lower your payments at any time. Many entities will work with you to lower payments, I originally had sallie mae, but Sallie mae sold many of their accounts to Navient and mine was one of them. Navient will not let me lower my payment regardless of the circumstance.

Nothing like being lied too! I am extremely disappointed. Spoke with a lot of csr’s there. Due to “timing” of when I filed my income tax return and when payment was due - I was told by 4 people I would get my income tax check reversed and send back to me. You see they applied it to my loan. AFTER hey told me I was going to get my money back. So like a complete fool I kept checking my mailbox. I called them yesterday 30 aug - just to be told it was applied to my interest. I asked how can they tell me that, when it wasn’t true? Supervisor Dante and manager Stephanie all they could say was I’m sorry. They shouldn’t have said that. What we can do is listen to the phone recordings and tell the supervisors to retrain them. WHATTTTTTT? Stephanie told me she didn’t see any notes on there where the reps told me it was reversed. I was even told it would be submitted for review, that was probably a lie. Because right after that I called back and sure enough she told me the check is coming from the irs so it might take up to 30 days? Well glad they are going to get retrained on me! From the beginning of this arrangement I went into to pay my student loan back- they kept reiterating if I do this: my income tax will NOT be withheld nor will my pay be garnished. All LIES! I loath being lied too! I wouldn’t be surprised if they garnish my check. They don’t FREAKING know what they are doing. Thank you Navient! This is not the end. I am seeking answers! Unbelievable how they are allowed to play with your money. Knowing full well every human being has bills to pay. So shouldn’t a call be made before you keep or withdraw money from someone. You can’t play with people’s money.
