I should have looked at the reviews before opening an account here. We were with CACU for 20+ years and their customer service began to SLIDE. We wanted to stay with a credit union so we opened an account with Mazuma. CACU is like a dream compared with Mazuma. I had an account with them for years when they were FECU and the service was great, but in the scant 3 weeks since we opened an account, we have been ignored talked down to and given a tough s--t don't care attitude. We STILL haven't received our debit cards and don't even show the cards have been ordered. The response to having no access to our money? We'll, you'll just have to come in to the branch until you get you card. A trip to Mazuma usually means 30 mins standing inside OR 30-45 mins sitting in the drive thru where they will complete the ENTIRE transaction without a single thank you or have a good day. A big shout out to Debra at the Bannister and Troost location, she is the WORST of the WORST. Talk about someone with a nasty condescending attitude, she's the poster child. If you have a complaint or question, she will GLADLY cut you off at the knees and refuse to do ANYTHING to help. Anyway, heading to the 135th st location to close our account. No point in waiting, if the customer service is this BAD 3 weeks after opening the account. Imagine how much worse it will be later.

Go into the branch on bannister you can look at waiting 30 plus minutes to speak with them. Go through drive through, no hello, no thank you and sat for 20 plus minutes waiting on a cash withdrawal. Not a huge task. Rude don't care about their customers

Went into the Mazuma located on Troost to get some papers notarized after waiting 45 min. was taken to a desk the notary seemed confused and not sure what to do. I had 3 of the same documents that all required notary service. She said she would only notarize one of them and stated she didnt fill comfortable notarizing all 3. I'm not sure she knew what a notary does. I went to ups and was in and out in less than 15 min. with no issues. This branch offers extremely poor and slow service.

Been with them since 1980. The employees are generally good. Some are new and service is slow. The older more experienced employee are generally very good. No different from any other place of business. Your attitude makes the difference. I like them. 👍

FYI emailing: [email protected] is not effective, don't expect a response. The customer service at this bank was very poor. I no longer feel comfortable opening an account with this bank. Overall the employees seemed to have a bad attitude & not helpful at all. I do not recommend this bank to any one. When I first walked in I was at the front desk, the lady had her back turned to the door so she didn't even know I was standing there until I said hello. She looked at me like I was bothering her & did not help me with my issue.

I have been with Mazuma over 12 years never have i received as subpar service than this location. I needed to make a wire transfer to Japan which for a bank should not be a challenge. I provided them with every single detail they needed and they claim it was incorrect and that the bank didn't exist, but that they could send it anyway without any verification. I was informed that I would be sent an approval or denial email to tell them what i wanted to do. They NOT ONLY sent the money before receiving my approval, they didn't even take it from the account that i informed them to take the payment from. I worked with 4 different people including 2 managers over the course of 3 days and they still messed up this badly. Now i will most likely lose $1000 because of a very obvious lack of training. Will heavily be considering moving to another bank very shortly if my money isn't either sent to the proper place or i get it back.

This was my first time visiting this branch & I will stick to my regular branch (Midtown location). I was sent to this location to have my debit card printed because the machine at Midtown was down. The woman at the Midtown branch called before I left & spoke with someone at the Troost location. She made sure their card machine was active & gave the person my name to let them know I would be on my way. Once I got there (15mins later) I was greeted with terrible customer service and was told their card machine was down. Wow. The woman, Karen at the front desk was really unpleasant and not helpful or accommodating to the situation. Her tone, her attitude, and her inability to handle the situation with good customer service is why I won’t be back. Try a different location, like Midtown.

Being a federal employee, depositing my paycheck into this credit union for over 25 years, (remember when this bank was called FECU?), gets you nothing! There are no perks "being" a member. They denied a small car loan because I don't have a great beacon score. But I do have a history of direct deposits and a decent amount of money checking and savings accounts. I'm taking my money to a real bank! Goodbye Mazuma, thanks for nothing.

I considered joining Mazuma after consistent fee problems with my bank. I heard all these wonderful things about credit unions putting people first and calling them “members” which is a unique touch that I like. I thought it was perfect how close to my house they were because few are in the just north of 435 area. I had heard mazuma was making a lot of changes trying to be more friendly to all demographics rather than just those with money. They also had all these commercials and pandora ads and everything so I had to check it out. Considering the hype it had, I couldn’t tell. I went in to ask about joining, what requirements they had and all about their various accounts. I went in and no one even looked my direction. To be fair there were other members there but one of the reps kept rolling their eyes at the person in front of them. I get that people aren’t sunshine and rainbows 24/7 and I’m sure this gentleman wasn’t the first person yelling at them judging by the way they looked permanently over it but I waited. I went up, said I wanted information about joining. She had me a few pamphlets and I asked about cheques (how to order, did they provide the first box/book free) and she said “people still use cheques?” I thought she was drumming up a conversation but the more I looked at her the more she looked genuinely confused as to if that was still a thing. She was polite though but I didn’t find out her name and she didn’t have a name tag otherwise I would say “_______ was really nice and that’s why I gave the location the second star“. I took the info home, read over it and was ready to switch. I went back and the gentleman I worked with was so rude. I had asked a few questions and he insinuated that I was confused or dumb. He kept interrupting me and saying that maybe we should wait till my boyfriend or dad could come in. It was Dec 2017 (at the time) and behaviour like that is why I went somewhere else. I wish I really had gotten her name!
