Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a long time. I guess these guys plot on people who don’t make a ton of money, because they want you to dive deep into debt with their 30% interest rates. 🤢 I’m actually really happy I didn’t get approved for their loan. I shouldn’t rely on loans anymore to fix my financial situation.

I have had several loans with another branch of Mariner and have paid them all off. They were easy to deal with and convenient. I have since changed jobs and now work very close to the Winston Salem office. I decided to consolidate some of my bills and wanted to get a small loan to do this. I called the office and put in my application at 9:30 am. I was told by Amy they would get back to me. I heard nothing for 2 hours so I called and left a message for Amy to call me back. After another 2 hours I called again to speak to her and was told she was not available. So I called another local finance company where they took my application. She called back in 10 minutes telling me I was approved and setting an appointment for an hour later to come to the office to do the paperwork and get my check. If only someone would have called to let me know what was going on when I called I would have stayed with Mariner. As it is I won't go back.

The staff was very professional and courteous.. I received my loan very quickly with no problems encountered. Aaron Carter worked hard to get my approval. The branch has an excellent manager and team.

When I first did my loan it was through credit karma. Very easy process and I worked with the home office customer service. A few days later I received a call from my local branch letting me know about the terms and making sure I understood everything about my load from when the payment was due. They were very courteous to let me know that I was approved for a little bit more and if I would like they could take care of that for me at the office. At the time I declined, but was told that the offer still stood if I would like to take them up on it. A few weeks later I had an emergency pop up and I remembered that I had that as a back up. The same day I called I got to speak to Pierre and he was so helpful! He even worked with me around my work schedule and helped me set up an appointment for that evening. When I walked in that afternoon he was very friendly and welcoming. The process took a little bit longer than I would have liked, but you could tell they were running a little behind. As someone who works in the retail field, this didn’t bother me at all. Throughout this process I didn’t feel like a customer, but a partner in this process. I had a really good conversation with Pierre and the environment was very relaxing. I have never had this type of experience before. Usually it’s very stuffy, stressful, and even overwhelming at times. Pierre helped me get my due date close to where I wanted it. He explained in detail my loan again and made sure if I had any questions he answered it. If I decided to take out another loan in the future, this will be where I go.

The woman who waited on me was ,very kind,, had a great personality, knowledgeable, but also very professional. She provided all the information I needed and was extremely helpful and answered all my questions and helped me resolve any issues. It took a little longer than I expected, but that was out of her control. However once I advised her I had another appointment she gave me other options if needed. Thankfully it all worked out. We got done and I still made my other appointment. Thank you for havie such an excellent employee.

I am on my own. I have no one financially helping me. The first loan went smooth and I had paid that loan off within a few months. The second the whole process felt different. This second time they made a mistake an messed me over. Along with that they kept pressuring me about switching my car loan over to them. I use pressuring because they kept “offering it to me more than three times, from multiple workers”. They never admitting to their fault the only thing they would say is there nothing they can do. I’m not just trying to bash them to be petty. They legit made a mistake and I would hate for another person go through what I just went through. You have to ask yourself do you really need a loan and is it worth the consequences that may come along with it. I would suggest you go with your own bank before coming here or anywhere.

So my husband and I called several days ago to get a loan for my husband, and spoke with a lady named Amy since she the only one there that speaks Spanish my husband doesn’t speak very good English. she seemed very agitated and raised her voice at my husband which was not appreciated - he was just trying to understand the process. Even though she let him know we wouldn’t be able to help at this time before even doing an app and pulling credit - we were able to get funds elsewhere. Just didn’t appreciate the service we got over the phone by Amy

Called and spoke with Amy on Wednesday morning. After 5, she called back to advise I was approved and we could close on Friday. I uploaded the documents that evening. Called back Thursday spoke to Tatiana. Had to leave message for Amy. Was told I would get a return call. It's Saturday night and still crickets. They seem nice but very unprofessional.
