Great experience. My first time buying a car through a dealership and it was no pressure and he really helped with getting my payments affordable. Really nice guy. Would give 10 stars if it were possible. 11/10 would recommend

I waited a year to post my unbiased review so that I could give a fair opinion of my experience with Leesburg Auto Finance. I purchased my rebuilt 2011 Ford F150 Supercab in April 2019 (they also sell clean-titled vehicles as well). A year later and my new-to-me truck has been bulletproof and given me around 7k miles of trouble-free service. My purchase experience was positive and Paul Walker and the gentleman in the back (sorry, I forgot your name) were helpful and straightforward, even showing me the auction pics of the truck with prior to it being repaired. They also provided me with some background on the types of vehicles they look for at auction when rebuilding them. Paul was not willing to negotiate on price, but overall, the asking price was fair given the nice condition and cleanliness of the truck. In my case, the repairs were structurally sound and well done, but not cosmetically perfect to the discerning eye. With that said, I do get regular compliments on the truck from random people. For those looking to purchase from Leesburg Auto Finance, I would give the following advice. 1.) This is not CarMax and do not expect CarMax-level service, personnel or facilities. 2.) Do your own due diligence! You can often google the VIN of a rebuilt car to find the original auction photos with any damage prior to being rebuilt. 3.) Inspect the car closely and ask them to take it for a good, long test drive on a variety of road types. If you're not comfortable doing this, find a knowledgeable friend who is and bring him or her. You can also ask to have the vehicle inspected by your mechanic. Not sure how willing Leesburg Auto Finance would be (maybe they would like to comment to this point), as I did not find this necessary as I know my way around a vehicle reasonably well. 4.) Expect to pay cash/check - for rebuilt vehicles, as financing is not easy to find. 5.) Buying a used car is always a risk. Buying a rebuilt car is a bigger risk, however if you do your homework, you can help mitigate the risk of buying a lemon. 6.) Leesburg Auto Finance, to the best of my knowledge, performs their own repairs, or at least they did when I bought my truck. They have a shop in Round Hill, VA that does the body work and state-employed inspectors that are required to sign-off on the rebuild. Again, do your own homework to decide whether this is something you are comfortable with. 7.) The bodywork on rebuilt vehicles may not be perfect, so have them show you what repairs they did and look at the repaired areas closely. Overall, I would not hesitate to consider purchasing another car from them if/when the time comes, however I would exercise the same due diligence the next time around if they had a vehicle of interest to me. I did not intend on purchasing a vehicle from them, however they just happened to have a truck in stock at the time I was looking, which checked all the boxes for me. It helped that I could tell that this truck had been well cared for by the previous owner(s) as well.

Stopped by to see a car I saw whilst driving past. Talked with the salesman and he answered a lot of questions I had about the car and the car market as a whole. Felt comfortable with his honesty and would have been purchased a car there if he had what I wanted in stock. Unfortunately, a manual transmission is getting difficult to find.

They sold me a jeep with a bent axle. So heres my experience. The catalytic converter went out right away on my drive home. They were on top of it and said hey no problem we will fix it. Unfortunately that took me driving to the dealership 3 times on my off days a hour drive each way for them to get the right part and repair it. They asked how they could make it up for the inconvenience and i said hey if you can install my lift then we are good. They agreed. I took it in to get the repair done and stated that there is a leak and it seemed to be from the differential. The guy there assured it would all be resolved. After having my jeep for a 5 days they were finally done. I get home... and theres still a leak. Called in about it. They said yeah that would have taken more time to get to let us know if it gets worse. Now at this time the 30 warranty was up and like i figured they didnt return my call. The differential was leaking to the point that it was empty. Took it into a certified jeep dealership. They explained to me hey... they axle seals and the differential cover has a leak but thats the easy stuff. Mr Roberts your axle is bent and it looks like they tried to weld it for a temp fix. How did this pass inspection. Smh So now i have to buy a whole new axle. 4 thousand dollars. Oh and since the axle was bent they forced long arm of the lift in the jeep and your drive shaft is on its way out do to improper installation. Last time i called they wouldn't talk because apparently the owner and i have an issue. How it passed state inspection idk... but im working on finding out. And installing the lift was a awesome gesture but... they did it wrong... and knowing the axle was bent forced it in so thats ruined. I wish you all had returned my calls about getting it fixed My number still the same.

    Response from the owner

Thanks for the review, You forgot to mention that it passed MD inspection which means it had no leaks, you also forgot to mention after the new catalytic converter was installed, for your inconvenience we installed a 3-4 inch Rough Country Lift (Springs,Shocks, Relocation Brackets) all FREE of charge. Just wished you had brought it back if you had a leak. Thanks Leesburg Auto Finance

Where do I begin!!!!! Paul and Ray have been nothing but straightforward and stand up gentlemen. I read some of these reviews prior to looking into a jeep with Leesburg auto finance and it amazes me on how people can write such bad reviews when they are obviously the ones who did not do their due diligence. These guys specialize in bringing back jeeps from the dead as salvage titles so you have to do your own due diligence by getting a prepurchase inspection or knowing something about the vehicle you’re getting since there will be some flaws!!! These are not new Jeeps!!!! My wife and I purchased a 2016 jeep wrangler unlimited Sahara 1941 edition, to which we had a prepurchase inspection done through a Loudoun auto repair. I thoroughly drove the jeep, listened to the manual transmission through its shifts, checked the undercarriage for rust, Requested and was given photos of previous wreck damage prior to Leesburg repairs, and I still had a pre purchase inspection performed! If you do your part and ensure that everything was taken care of prior to purchase, then you can’t blame these guys one bit. There were few VERY minor things found in my prepurchase inspection and they took care of it no problem and no questions asked. They offer a 30 day warranty and they hold true to it as my Jeep had a brake line lock up and they replaced it again with no questions asked. I cannot say enough about these guys and I’ve even sent one of my friends over to them who also bought a Jeep from them. Military friendly and very welcoming! Thank you so much for taking care of us Paul and Ray! The MacCoy’s!

I Cannot say enough good things about Paul. We made several trips to check out a Jeep, and each time he was the definition of no pressure. He was thoroughly honest about the process and did not shy away from showing us the crash photos and talking with us about the process. Heck, he was showing us the crash photos before we even took the first test drive or even asked! After we found some opportunities on the Jeep, he did not waste a second offering to fix them prior to us even negotiating the deal. Once everything was done, it only took 15 minutes to do the paperwork and leave the dealership. No hassle of the salesman leaving you to talk to the manager and making the process take longer than needed. Long story short, we got a great Jeep at a great price and would recommend him to my friends.

I drove 1 hour to Leesburg Auto Finance to see a 2014 Red Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited at 2:30 Friday. My husband who is on oxygen and my 16 year old grandson went with me to help decide on the vehicle. The manager/owner was kind enough to let us take a test drive. I noticed immediately the warranty said buyer is responsible for 50% of all costs of parts and labor during used car time 30 days. I could see car was not totally clean from coffee spills or food crumbs in crevices, glove box and storage wells. Someone Armouraled the whole inside, even over the sticky, tacky gum for phone holder (which could have easily been removed). I did mention that to the man. He said the pump was bad on the lift gate and a person had to hold it up while loading but if I wanted the car he would fix it. I took it around the block like he directed and notice the air conditioner was not working properly at any temperature set, the heater wasn't either. I tried the GPS screen and it wasn't working properly...very slow and I had to touch/push several times for it to engage information. I drove on back to office and wasn't there a whole five minutes, I wasn't rude or complaining just mentioned what I saw...he said he couldn't make the car any cooler and sounds like that's not the car for me. He did not say let's look at the problems or even attempt to work with me. I said I wasn't interested in paying 50% of what his vehicle problems were and pay for car too. I handed him the keys, said thank you calmly and politely...he said see you around! Thank goodness it was a nice day for a ride.

I bought a rebuilt truck here about a month ago. About 1000 miles since, no issues. Dealer was up front about the previous damage that was repaired and even shared the pre-repair photos so I could see the extent of the damage myself. No pressure buying experience. Everything went smoothly.

    Response from the owner

BUYER BEWARE! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! Rebuilt Jeeps are a total scam. Despite what Paul says, assessed value is 50% of KBB for same vehicle. I took one of their Jeeps for a test ride and decided to have it inspected because I didn’t have a good feeling that the Jeep was in good working order. I’m glad I followed my gut. The check engine light came on while driving the vehicle. Inspector said it’s an emissions issue. They found 3 leaks, one of which is very expensive to repair. Needs a wheel alignment, very close to needing new breaks and a bunch of other services. One of the shocks was damaged too. They sprayed parts of the underbody to hide rust. I estimate total cost of repairs to be at least $4000. Paul didn’t want to know what was wrong with the vehicle. All he kept saying was the car passed inspection and these issues were normal maintenance. He really didn’t care that someone would buy this overpriced vehicle and then be stuck with $4,000 in repairs, too. Does that sound like an honest salesman? There must be huge profits in selling Rebuilt Jeeps. Have to wonder why they sell mostly rebuilt. I truly believe LAF should be reported to the BBB. I’m so glad I didn’t buy a vehicle from LAF. Run away from this place as fast as you can ! RESPONSE to LAF's Response: LAF, yes, let's recap. I will address your response: Correct, I did drive the Jeep, I did like it, and I did leave a deposit. However, I told you that I needed to talk to my wife before any sale was finalized. You didn't address the fact that you told me I could sign for her. That is not ethical. Correct, I came back two days later and tried to reduce the price AFTER I did research and determined that your sales price is a complete ripoff for a branded vehicle. When you would not negotiate, I did get a refund. Then my wife came to look at the vehicle later that day. She then convinced me to make the purchase IF Geico passed the inspection. I came back the NEXT day for a test drive and to sign a new contract for the original sales price. WRONG, I did not lie about visiting Geico. If you want to accompany me to both Geico offices (Sterling and Leesuburg), I am sure they will recognize me and tell you that I did visit their offices. The first office said Geico needed to schedule the appointment,, and the second office said only the Manager can inspect vehicles M-F. WRONG, you DO NOT encourage customers to take the car to have it checked out. You told me several times that Geico does not require inspections before insuring the vehicle and I was the first person to say Geico required an inspection. Not sure what check out place you are talking about but I have one brother, and he lives in Texas. I will be happy to drive you to NTB in Leesburg to meet the guys that inspected your Jeep. You will quickly determine that we are not brothers and they agreed with me, that your Jeep is overpriced and not worth the money due to all the mechanical issues. WRONG, my only goal was to buy a quality product, not to negotiate. But I'm glad you think you know my intentions. Why would I leave you a bad review? Are you kidding me? You clearly stated you would not fix any of these issues because the Jeep passed inspection and they are normal maintenance issues. You also did not want to know of the problems. I guess if you don't know the issues, then you can claim ignorance with prospective customers. I want others to know they should avoid spending good money on bad products. As for repairs, you specifically TOLD me that your 30 day warranty would NOT cover any of the problems with this Jeep. Sorry, I had to respond to your response to my review. I had to set the story straight. If you want to challenge the accuracy of anything in this review, let me take you for a drive to Geico and NTB so they can substantiate my claims. Being in business for 25 years doesn't prove anything to me. I am NOT the first person to leave a bad review or to uncover your scam. Look forward to your response.

    Response from the owner

Mr Shroyer, Let’s recap here, you came in and drove the Jeep and liked it. Tried to cut the price and we declined. So you made a deal and left us a deposit .. Then you came back in and tried to renegotiate after you agreed to deal . Then you came back and said you wanted to take it to the Geico office to make sure you could insure it but that was a complete lie and you took it and had it checked out. We encourage all our customers to have that done , all you had to do was ask. Why lie about it? Then you come back for the final time and want to renegotiate AGAIN for the repairs. How do we know you brother doesn’t work at the check out place?? Your only goal from the beginning was to bargain, you just ran into a dealer that would not. There is a few dealers out there like that ever heard of CARMAX. We gave your deposit back and wished you well in your search for a Jeep, why would leave us a bad review. As far repairs ,We have been on that corner for 25 years , Every Jeep we sell comes with a 30 day 1000 warranty and always has to take care of any issues that might pop up . Sorry I had to respond to this review.

This place is either a joke or the salesman that I just talked to was rude as hell!!!!!!! I was inquiring about a "Branded Title" vehicle. Of which I know a lot about. The vehicle was only 1800 less than KBB value. Branded vehicles are not worth that close to clear title vehicles. When I asked about the best price, since I have to drive over an hour and a half. Just to go look at it. To be told it was 5000.00 below market. Maybe so if it was clear title and excellent condition. However not repaired salvage which should be priced Good at best with a percentage off of that. Again was willing to drive the distance and pay cash. Until I called!!!!! Rude ass people, at least whoever answered the phone. Never gave me any chance to even negotiate.

    Response from the owner

Jim, Im am sorry that not negotiating over the phone is seems rude to you. It is our policy as it is CARMAX's also. Not sure why you would want to negotiate on a car you have not seen or driven and then leave a bad review?
