Yea I was looking into doing a Refi Conventional Cash Out . Their Senior Loan Officer helping at the time told me that I was going to get the lowest rate on the market with the most cash out possible without bringing my payment up too much . And he had said that it was because their Closing Cost were only 25% of what other Lenders charge . Days of taking on the phone and texting back and forth, I decided to go through with it and have him pull my Credit and turn in all my Documents to the Loan Officer. As soon as I did turn in all my Documents to them he started ignoring my calls and text messages , replying back a day later and always sending me to voicemail and when I got the Loan estimate from them the numbers were the same as all the other lenders . Then at that point I decided to read all of their Google Reviews and look at them more closely, that's when I realized that they were known for lying, changing numbers , not closing in time and horrible Customer Service . It's a good thing I did not pay for the Appraisal and was able to cancel the process in time . Don't go to them no matter what lies or numbers they give you over the phone .

Matthew Hutson, Loan Officer, apparently lied to me. I enjoyed him through the process and was approved for the particular loan I was going after, but was using my wife's salary (which was only a temporary), which I informed him. Then through the underwriting process, he said they are requesting my wife's. Again I told him I thought we couldn't use it, but he stated to me on the phone give the underwriter everything, then they will take it off. Then I find out the initial approval was using my wife's temporary job salary, which they should never had done. I was told we could look for other loan options, but I was done with them.

Don't believe their promises to do the paperwork on time and lower the interest rate during the paperwork preparation if it falls on market. Also don't ever trust their closing cost. They will lie to you. You will end up paying more than they tell you during the process. These people will just waste your time and money. Looks like they are LAZY and don't look at your paperwork unless you call them every day and demand to take care of your papers. At some point they will ignore you. In my case I almost lost an opportunity to buy a house because of all the reasons I told before. NEVER AGAIN.

JGW at first was the lowest rate from the lending companies that contacted us. At the end of the day, I cannot say if it was a better deal or not, but we had so much headache working with JGW that we decided to stick with it to the end because we already invested money into the process that we would not otherwise easily get back. Our Loan officer was terrible and I'm not sure if it is frankly because he doesn't like his job and doesn't put anything more than the absolute minimal effort or its a combined failure of the individual and management. The end result was absolutely nothing would get accomplished in a timely manner, Mark Montague (our Loan Officer) would rarely ever put an initiative to update us on the status of the process and left us with a deep impression that he barely understands the process himself due to his lack of forethought or ability to process more than one simple task at a time. Having our first processor quit and/or be fired with nobody informing us for 2 weeks that NOTHING was being done to our loan was really just a continuation of the disappointments we were already dealing with. Why did we stay with JGW? Because we figured maybe, after all this is said and done, we may have a final rate and cost that was still OK despite the disappointing human element of the company. I might be regretting this decision for years to come.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS- My mother is trying to refinance her home and we are now in the 9th week. No communication and a new requirement every other day. I am not anywhere on the loan yet they are scrutinizing my car that my mother co-signed for me. She has NOTHING to do with my payment. I have given them a year of statements proving I PAY IT and its still not enough. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PROCESS!!

Do not be drawn in by their rates. They are incredibly decitfull. Make sure if you are interested in a morgage with them that you go through your documents with a fine tooth comb. A special shout out to the branch manager for being so rude that he stopped be from making a terrible decision and moving forward with a refinance with JG Wentworth.

Refinance process is a long winding road. Assigned personnel are not helpful. They would even try to let you do it for them and seems they don’t care.

Worst loan experience I have ever had! Don't waste your time with them, because they never have enough information for the loan.
