I had the best experience I could wish for working with James Lowen. He was 100% involved and made me feel special, I was not just a number. This was my first home purchase and everything went so smoothly thanks to James. He was on top of it all at every step of the way and he was very responsive every time I had a question. Honestly, I wish I could provide zero stars. Thankfully, I had an amazing realtor that was by our sides during this process because I truly believe we would have lost our home due to peer negligence from this company. Not only did Richard not know who my realtor was on several occasions when she would call in to check on the status of things, half the time he had no clue what was even going on with my loan. He was unaware of approaching deadlines and lacked communication skills. His lack of professionalism made me feel uncomfortable on several occasions. Due to my husband's line of work as he is a firefighter, I had to do the majority of the communication. On one occasion Richard had the nerve to say "wow, your a pretty little thing." in the middle of discussing my loan. I was taken back. When I finally had enough of the run-around, and we were close to missing deadlines and losing our home, I had to go over his head, which comes to find out the manager is his son, and should the same lack of professionalism. Coming down to the wire, I had to go above both of them to finally speak with someone who could provide me ease and answers. On multiple occasions I had to re-send documents because they didn't "see them". They waited until the last minute to ask for documents that could have taken weeks to receive. They dropped the ball on many things with my loan, and refused to take responsibility or apologize, in return, tried to turn it around on me. Thankfully, with the help of Debbie, we got our home. It should have never gone to her in the first place. Buying a house is stressful and you hope to find someone who is professional, aware of deadlines, and can ask your questions. Sadly, I had the worst experience and after reading reviews, I wish I would have read them prior to speaking with this company because it seems to be a common thread. I sincerely hope that this review helps save someone else the grief that my family went through.

Worked with Jeff dobbs in Dallas. Backed out of a deal on the day of closing without depositing earnest money. He had 3 weeks to communicate that he wouldn't pull through and he didn't. Had to call him through the company line pretending I was somebody else to actually get a hold of him. Will not be doing business with homevantage or jeff dobbs again.
