The only reason this gets more than one star is because the customer service is good. This Bank absolutely is the worst Bank I've ever used. They don't have money when you need it, they lock you out of online banking, then when you call the number, it disconnects without getting to a human. Want to deposit a check? It takes 2 weeks to clear! You have to call in and beg them for cash, which they don't normally have over 5k. Just too many bad experiences here. Bank anywhere else.

I have been with Homestreet for over 10 years. I love my bank. I have waited for a teller once, and that was not long. All the tellers have a smile and are always happy to fill out your withdrawal or deposit slips. Last week Saturday I got a text from Homestreet saying possible fraudulent purchase at Kroger's. It asked if I was making that purchase I replied no. Someone tried to use my card number but Homestreet stopped it. Cancelled my card and rushed a new card which I got today Thursday. I walked in to get my pin and Minei was very helpful and stayed beyond closing to help me out. I highly recommend Homestreet.

I'm new to the island and needed a local bank. This is a terrible place to bank if you have a small business. I will give you 3 reasons why I will never come back... 1. Very bad customer service, the staff here are borderline rude. Just read the other comments to see. 2. They have many fees while other banks in town welcome new business accounts for free. 3. They are uneducated on money. I know more about money than the employees here and I am NOT a banker. Try depositing money at this bank printed in the 1970's and watch how you get accused of handling counterfeit money.

There is no question that this is the worst bank in Hilo. I absolutely despise having to do any kind of business here. Grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and other banks are open for business, yet homestreet bank keeps there doors locked. They enjoy having the power to harass their customers and use it to their full legal capabilities. The employees at homestreet bank in Hilo do not like locals and that's why I do not feel at home there, I feel home sick.

Used their atm to get money to exchange for quarters and paid the $3.00 fee. Go to teller to quarters and she says she can't help me because I'm not an account holder. Didn't matter they already made $3.00 off of me. All I wanted was a different form money... quarters instead of $20s. What scam.
