The banker who occupies the last office on the left, Tammy Evans, is what I believe her name plate said, was quite rude when I recently had an issue arise. She was the same person I did business with, when I initially opened my account, who gave me inaccurate information about the account that I later discovered to be completely false! If your occupation is working for a banking institution, then you should take the time to learn, understand, and know how each bank account works as well as all of your company's policies for those accounts. As you can see from other reviews, the customer service here is very lacking, and Joe was the best thing this location had going for them, but he is unfortunately, no longer with them : ( He had probably had enough of them, as have I and am thinking of making a switch myself. Oh, how I miss Joe as he completely ROCKED!!!!! 😃👍

If you are thinking about banking with these folks...DON'T DO IT!!!! Call me, Hell I'll talk to you because they won't. Actually hang up on you once they answer. And don't think about getting transferred to anyone, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Indian Trail FNB completely different story. Great people to deal with!. I'll be going there now!

I have banked with this bank for many many years and the buy out by First National was the start of the downfall of this bank! Things have exceedingly gotten worse over the course of time from false information being given, to debit cards being faulty, to no customer service, to charging extra atm fees, and so on and so on. Now I am dealing with a new issue. I can’t access my account. I logged onto my mobile app and it doesn’t recognize my login info which has been the same since 2018. After an hour of waiting on customer service they could only tell me that a case would have to be opened and I would get a response in 3 days!!!!!! I called the local Monroe NC branch and they are no help either. I now have to take time off of work to get there before they close to get a list of transactions from automatic drafts and debits so that I can be sure my bills get paid and money is arranged in the accounts it should be in. This bank is awful and is not helpful at all. The people are nice but a smiling face isn’t worth a penny when they are literally no help with anything!!!!!

We took out a home loan that was to be deposited into our account, signed the agreement & gave them company the bank account number that was on the bottom of our checks. The loan company still needed to get confirmation from First National Bank that it was in fact, correct and did so during a 3 way call... The loan company read it off to them and even asked them to verify that it was right (3) THREE more times! The last asking "are you certain?" before electronically depositing the money in that account... They still didn't catch their mistake! We were given the wrong number when the account was opened and it was on our checks as well. So, other payments have also not gone through/been paid. We are now in limbo waiting for the bank to do a "return" or send it back to them so that they can then resend our money to the proper account. This will take a minimum of 10 days, Thanks for that! I could say a lot about all the issues we've had dealing with this bank, but I won't.. I'm just absolutely exhausted!

Awful, just Awful, really really Awful! Gave me a temporary card that doesn't work, it has been declined at 90% of stores or restaurants and I don't have time to drive around to find a place it is accepted on my lunch break (so I can't eat most days!), banker didn't give information needed to access the account online or by phone so can't check balance or get my money, and they are closed when I get off work. I can never get online banking set up. To top it all off, I now have to drive to the bank (30 miles round trip) at 9:00 at night, because now that I finally get a rep on the phone they let me know I will get a $37 overdraft fee over a measly .25... Yes, 25 Cent! Could never get enrolled in online banking even with this rep. telling me it would work & how to go about it... Won't verify identity. Nothing but issues and it has only been a week! I suggest you AVOID at all costs!

The service I have received at this branch has been unbelievable! And, not in a good way. Appalling would be a better way to describe it. The ladies behind the counters are friendly and efficient at their jobs, but the women that sit behind the desks on the left probably have a combined IQ of about 73. A 5th grader would be much better at doing their jobs than they are! After receiving much misinformation and poor customer service from them, over the last 2 years, I have decided to switch banks. The best way to describe them, based on what I experienced, would be; in one word: incompetent!

This bank SUCKS! It is SO Bad and extremely frustrating any time you want to even check your balance. I can never access any information on the automated phone system, or use online banking without many additional and very unnecessary questions = many extra steps, there is always an issue! Then it locks you out "for your protection" and inconvenience, causing a special trip to an inside branch, because customer service by phone is a nightmare and completely pointless! Take my advice, Bank elsewhere.

I am done with the extreme incompetence of this bank and it's staff, I will therefore be closing my account and taking my business elsewhere! ATM hardly ever works, or will not read the card more times than it will, costing me additional fees due to being forced to use another bank's ATM, and the online banking is utterly useless! What is the point of having a username and password if it doesn't allow you to log in? You have to answer multiple follow up security questions that were set up when you first opened the account (years ago), all caps and lowercase letters must be identical which is b.s. if you don't have the best memory or you don't have them written down (security issue in itself) and after all this, it still gives you an error message, giving you the 888 number to call. Horribly inconvenient! Sayonara! : /

Such a great staff. Always helpful!! Joe, the branch manager went above and beyond to help. Cannot say enough about the Monroe and Indian Trail branches. It feels like a true community bank.
