Steve Ceretto of Colonial Mortgage came very highly recommended to us. Having worked with many loan agents through the years, we found Steve truly deserved the recommendation. Indeed, provided the most positive experience we've ever had. He was very quick and helpful in response to our questions. He knew his stuff but things easy for us. Steve is a wonderful person and such a pleasure to work with, he made sure all my questions were answered and as a first time home buyer i didnt know alot. but he helped me understand it all and made sure i was not left in the dark.

I would warn anyone to stay away from this lender at all costs. I refinanced my home mortgage only to have it sold to Colonial soon afterward. Everything was fine as I used autopay every month and had never been late or had any issues. In 2018 I found a lower priced homeowners policy but Colonial had already paid the old one. So I called and cancelled the old policy and waited for the refund. When the refund arrived I used my bank's app to deposit the check into my checking account. My bank's app didn't tell me that they would hold the funds and when I paid the refund on Colonial's website soon after I found NSF fees from Colonial. I called Colonial several times and they flat out refused to refund the $25 fee. Not only that it was the rudeness of the CSR's and how treated me. Saying things like "Sorry I will not refund it." Ask for someone who will they say "We will have a supervisor call you in a few days." Or you can send a request in writing but they still won't waive it". The $25 is not the issue here it is the rudeness, arrogance and lack of any caring or empathy from ALL their employees. So stay away from Colonial if you have the choice.
