Lyla was an enormous help when I used Chase Bank yesterday. I had just taken on the responsibility of depositing all cash for a dealership I work for, in a brand new account I hadn't used before. I was hilariously flawed at my mission but Lyla was so patient and helpful and helped me get everything squared away. I didn't realize I had dropped the task on her so close to closing time, so extra kudos to her for being such a good sport!

My husband and I came into this location about 30 minutes before close on a Saturday to open a new joint checking account to pay our joint expenses from and possibly open a mortgage loan (even though each of us had current individual Chase accounts). We were quite rudely told there wasn't enough time to do that before close, and we would need to come back. It seems like this branch doesn't care about new business. We went to the Ballard branch, set up our account in 15 minutes, and haven't been back to this location since.

What I like about Chase is: 1. They provide free business and personal checking account to veterans and those on active duty. I know because I have both. 2. You can download two years of checking or savings transactions for free into QuickBooks or Quicken. Something that my clients who I set up, review, and train in those accounting and bookkeeping software appreciate. I recently recommended this branch to a Crown Hill client. 3. They offer a variety of credit cards for everyone. I like earning 5% cash back in different categories each quarter like gas, groceries, Amazon, and wholesale clubs on my Chase Freedom card. 4. Unlike other banks, they are usually open real hours of 9-6 M-F and 10-2 on Saturday. 5. Their website is always working. 6. Zelle payment is easy to send and receive money with. Better than PayPalless. The only downside is that credit cards can be downloaded in both programs and Excel for three statements plus the current transactions or 120 days. American Express for example can go back as far as 15-18 months. If you are one of my clients that wants to start a file in the middle of the year, that doesn’t work. They need to let folks download credit cards for the same amount of time as the banking side.

Asked to wait because banker has a 12noon appointment. Banker would rather wait for a no-show than help with a quick credit card name change (due to marriage) request. Saturdays are busy for any branch but got in and out of our main bank, WSECU, and Bank of America (Alaska Airlines CC), seamlessly.

This bank is in my neighborhood. While I am pleased at their actions to protect against COVID, their parent company continues to support fossil fuel pipelines and other infrastructure. Climate change is an even greater existential threat than COVID. I will not patronize a Chase bank until the corporation ceases to support expansion of fossil fuel use.

I have been banking with Chase for over 15 years and R. Guzman always delivers incredible customer service, he is on top of everything and makes banking business enjoyable. He helped with documents related to selling of a property, and wiring a loan payoff amount, and opening several accounts for me, it was all done correct and efficiently. I am so glad I have him to handle my banking business, so go see him if you need anything. Thank you Randhy.

Customer service was non existent. When I walked in there where no other customers in the bank. I walked up to the only teller open to make a deposit. I was turned away and told to go outside and use the ATM to make my deposit. I have used the Atm before but hand a large amount of cash and did not want to handel the cash outside. However I was turned away. When they cut jobs at this branch and others the employees can thank themselves for turning away a customer standing right in front of them. Corporate greed!

Be warned and stay away. The tellers are very unfriendly and rude and then ridicule you to everyone else as you leave after refusing you service. Pretty unbelievable, especially for a bank to have such substandard service. I presume that it does not happen very often or this branch would not have any customers left, but if you are a stranger just looking for a bank and who doesn't think bullying people is funny, then there are a lot of banks in the area you can choose from.

Karen Unseth, a relationship banker in this branch, perfectly illustrates how bad customer service ruins a big brand. She is the most rude and stupid banker that I ever met in the states. She pretended not to understand my straightforward request and beat round bushes for nearly 20 mins. In her eyes, I clearly read malice and discrimination. The same request, as a comparison, was immediately understood and taken care of by Keion Mauldin in the BOA right across the street! With Karen, it is not surprising that the parking lots of this Chase branch are so empty...
