I love this location and the fact it has one of the best people you could have in your corner, Lindy is all that Plus more. She is very attentive, Understanding and her willingness to help is just a blessing. She loves her job and it shows. I also had Wendy R. help me with my list of things that I needed/ wanted. It is just a Blessing to have CMCU on your side. It's more than just a bank, Its Family . Thank You

This is by far the worst bank I have ever been involved with. Fraudulent activity took place on my account and had over $2000 stolen out of my account. Filed police report, filled out everything I needed to fill out to prove fraud. After being with bank for years not only did they not help me no one communicated with me at all as far as any decision being made. Seems like everybody tried to sweep it all under the rug. Very unprofessional this was the last straw for me. I advise people to never open an account with Charlotte metro EVER. It will save you a lot of stress in the long run. You have been warned
Our records do not show any fraudulent activity perpetrated against your account. Our attorney has attempted to make contact with you over the past month but has been unable to reach you by phone. Letters have been sent to the address on file with additional information regarding the status of the account. Our recommendation is to contact our attorney to determine a resolution.

They do not want to help you if you owes them money and demanding now. I have been arguing with 4 different people for almost one year since last week of the March 2018. Good luck with scammers, of scammer screw your account into a negative account they will demand your money right now!! Really frustrating but I don’t make over $4,000 and they demand money by less than 30 days. Money hungry for them and not allow me to make a payment on either loan and credit card payment. All they care about was money that you didn’t put into account. They did closed on April of first week 2018 because scammer access into account so I decided request change my account. Here’s the problem they promise me that they already closed it. Guess what somehow scammer did it again from my old account that lead force me to pay over negative money. Really??? They don’t care about you and your debt money. My old local banking doesn’t do this process. Plus they even hurting your credit scores and never careless about small payment or willing work with you. ALL THEY WANTS MONEY!!! Before instance I have been paying on times and never have a problem with them. Somehow they don’t know how to help or give them payment plans and even though as I felt enforced it and make it harder for them to understand. I don’t trust them. Because you might be receiving emails or phone call from more than 3 or 4 asset management teams and all of them not communicate and they kept saying let me speak with supervisor. During April 2018 they never called back at all for any updates. Thank goodness I left them and went back to my old bank who know what scammer can do to anyone. One more thing, they never hardly tells you what really going on and they kept sending me a new credit card - 4 times between April to June 2018. Be careful when one person says that send you a new card and other person never send out and next person did send out. That why I was saying they don’t communicate with others. Who telling me truth? Asset management? Don’t let them fool you again with all 4 people tells you different things.

Well coming in everything seemed okay, and JUST okay. But they have automated tellers (for reasons VERY understandable) but the teller device works so poorly, the audio is very low, and you have to press your ear, which is highly unsanitary. I would not recommend this location. Not after the full experience just now.

Since I have been with Charlotte Metro Credit Union it has been the worst experience in my life. My encounter started with CMCU when I decided to refinance my car. At that time I was working with a woman by the name of Paula. Paula told me I was approved for a refinance of my auto loan. She then explained to me that I could also take two loans that I had from previous vendors and put them on a credit card. Unknowingly, my credit card would be tied to my auto loan as a cross collateral file. Once I signed the documentation a few months later I was in a financial hardship and I began to fall back on my credit card loan. I tried to keep up with my car because I didn’t know they were tied together. I soon then became behind on both loans. Fast forward to the present time. I was a month behind on my auto loan and 3 months behind on my credit card. A representative by the name of Angel called me on 08/07/2017 and asked me when I was going to make my credit card payment only I then told her Aug 15th. I had previously told Angel Aug. 4th however I had to pay my rent. I then got my father on the phone call to assist me with paying the credit card amount because we were going to try to pay it. I then called back and asked for someone to speak to and I got in contact with Shannon. Shannon then advised me that I had to pay roughly $580.00 for my car and credit card. I then asked why because that wasn’t what was told to me in the beginning. I then was talking to Shannon and she then was telling us several different amounts. I then asked Shannon the amounts specifically she then said to me that I would have to pay May, June and July which is an 80.00 amount payment each month which would result in $240.00. Car delinquency = $259.00. This is the amount that I was delinquent for at first. I then asked Shannon how that could be when the delinquent amount was $490.00 but she was asking for $580. My father and I was on the phone with Shannon trying to understand the reason of the large amount when Angel only called me about the credit card payment. I then asked Shannon the reason why and she said that is what is due. And kept repeating herself. I then asked her why she wants both and that’s not what Angel called for. I then asked her why she was charging for the month of August and she ignored the question and still kept repeating herself saying “that is what’s due.” I then asked to speak to her manager and she said he was unavailable she then forwarded me over to Brian voicemail. I left Brian a voicemail hoping to hear from him tomorrow so I can arrange a payment. I then called Shannon to set something up however Shannon had blocked my number on trying to get in contact with her. On 08/08/2017 I didn’t receive a phone call from Brian or Shannon but I realized that my car had been repossessed. I then called Shannon and asked why when I was on the phone trying to set up a payment with her that she never returned my phone calls and blocked me. She said because I requested to speak to her manager Brian. I then asked why Brian never called me back and she said then said because “she was over my account now and Brian had nothing to do with it.” I then asked why she never called me back then and she didn’t say anything. This was the result of me trying to get in contact with them and set something up. My car was repossessed. I then asked Shannon what was due and she stated the entire amount which is $14,838.27. I then asked Shannon what was the amount due before and she never told me the amount again. She stated “this is what is due now.” Shannon was the worst customer service agent I have ever experienced in my life. Shannon was rude, she hung up on me several times, Shannon blocked my number when I was calling her to make a payment, and she also directed me back to customer service several times when I was on the phone with her. I advised everyone to never operate business with Charlotte Metro Credit Union because the service is horrible. Please never bank with them with anything.

Do not trust this bank or its app. You will get screwed. Their system is inaccurate and designed to pray on the lower income people who live paycheck to paycheck.
Hi J Bar, can you please give us a call at 704.375.0183 or email us at [email protected] at your earliest convenience so we can chat about your account and the issues you're having? Thanks!

You dont interact with a teller face to face inside. It has a tube system with video conferencing equipment. Decent bank for everyday checking.
F
ATM cash dispenser not working - no one available on weekends to take your call to fix it. I hope you didn't need to use cash!

Slowest bank i have been to. 30 mins plus just to deposit cash, and its not busy at all. Every single visit is like this. Try the sunset location or downtown.
