As an update to my earlier review, I was contacted immediately after the review below and allowed access to my safe deposit box the next day so I appreciate the prompt response. __________________________________________ I ABSOLUTELY NEED to gain access to my safe deposit box and it's VERY TIME SENSITIVE!! I walked down there (30 minute walk) to discover they are closed?!!! So I call and am given an email address via the message on the number. I've emailed it 3 times in the past week with ZERO RESPONSE!!! YOU HAVE MY SAFE BOX!! You can't just steal people's belongings!!!

So bad, its a good thing its closed. I've never had a decent experience in this branch in the past 2+ years. There are a dozen teller stations and more often than not one person working as a teller while 3-5 other people sit at their desks working on computers watch a line of 5-10 people wait for help. Its mind numbing. The "I'm sorry that's not my job syndrome" is abounding. Please get up and help your customers. The computer screens don't mind waiting. I guess the 1-star rating is for the effort of actually showing up to work while half of the country has been sitting home on unemployment. Thanks for showing up! Sincerely. That is a start.

Horrible branch! If I could give it zero stars I would! Denise an older lady & Claudia a young lady were the tellers there & they were VERY RUDE! They said one thing & then when it came up to helping me out they said they couldn’t do it cause my spouse needed to be there when I had told them that before they decided to close the doors on my spouse when there was two minutes left before closing time & he was 5 steps from the entrance! As I have read in other reviews, they like to close early! I don’t like to complain but WOW HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I wasn’t the only one upset either there was another client there too who was very unhappy cause she couldn’t do a credit card payment in full cause their computers closed at 4pm. Then what was the point of us being in there if the computers don’t work after 4pm.

Rude, Horrible Place -- We received a settlement check from WA State Human Rights as a Cashiers Check drawn on a BofA Account. Went in to have them cash it and/or open an account and they refused. They said they don't have time to waste on stuff like that and go find a check cashing place. I have a BofA Credit Card for 10+ years, I just canceled it. The "Branch Manager" basically said you're wasting our time and get out... she is not wasting her employee's time on us.. Run Fast / Run Far.

Horrible experience. We came in expecting to open an account. The branch is a mess. Blinds on the windows are filthy and pulled up at an angle. 20 people waiting for one of the two teller's to become available. No pen at the suggestion box. The whole place needs to be pressure washed. Two officers on the phone; neither of which made eye contact or otherwise acknowledged that we were waiting. Hello!? Is the regional manager awake? Is this the way you want it? We left and will find a bank that will take our money and let us open an account.

I have receive great customer service and treatment at this branch. Denise Ryason is very helpful and goes above and beyond to help me open the saving account and closed my checking account. She tries to find ways to save me that little dollar, because she understands and cares. It is the personable and humane consideration of her attitudes that make me come back to this branch.

On April 14, my wallet was stolen from Oak Harbor Safeway with all my ID, debit cards, insurance, drivers license etc. I was desparately trying to drive to Mt. Vernon before they closed on Saturday 4/15, by 1 pm. I had left in plenty of time, but after I left SR20 on 536, it became bumper to bumper all the way into town (due to the Tulip Festival) and it was going to come down to the limit. I called from my car and explained the situation to whomever answered. She explained they couldn't stay open after one, and when I asked if there was ANY WAY they could accommodate my situation, she transferred me to Customer Service (in S.Carolina!) and they tried to contact the Mt. Vernon office, but they would not pick up. It was before 1:00. Needless to say it took me over 5 minutes to drive from the city clock 3 blocks away when it said it was 1:00. When I got to the branch, the doors were locked. I could see ppl looking at me so I pounded on the doors until a gentleman came over pointing to his watch saying they were closed. I started to beg and plead with him, I had no way to access any money for Easter weekend until I could get new debit cards. I told him I had my wallet stolen. He still refused to even talk with me. For a small island, and small towns, banks around here are always stressing Customer Service and individual attention. It was traumatic for me to have had my identification stolen, and it was a double whammy to be so rudely denied access to my account! My trust in humanity and compassion was thrashed, because I live by values that, if I were in a position to make a huge difference in someone else's life, and had that ABILITY to, I would personally feel compelled to assist that person. I could no longer refuse to help an elderly woman, who was begging and sobbing for some leniency, than I could trip her just to watch her fall... and then NOT EVEN help her get off the ground! (Those kinds of chances don't come around often, but let me tell you, if one of those situations arise and present themselves, you better take it! You may NEVER get an opportunity to be a hero to someone again!) ***(Now I understand closing time, but when someone is on the phone with your business 20 minutes before closing and ppl are aware of the huge effort the customer is making to report in on time, it seems like closing could be extended to that customer who had make a 40 minute drive that took 1 hr. 10 minutes!) I've been with BofA for over 15 years, and I put up with losing our branch in Oak Harbor and having to drive 40 minutes to a branch, and there had been a few times they really ticked me off, but I'm seriously considering using another institution! Mount Vernon, get your Customer Service on! You FAILED miserably to impress me. Lauren Becker

This branch sucks! First they changed their hours to close from 6pm to 5pm then they close and LOCK their doors early and rudely point at their wrist to say they are closed even though customers are inside. The tellers are mostly rude, unfriendly and slow and barely say thank you for coming in. Wish my employer didn't have to bank there!

One teller, often a long line and no help. I dont WANT to deposit at the ATM people!!! What are we paying for here? Where is the DRIVE UP WINDOW?? Too expensive to pay someone for that??

Terrible service and probably the worst bank in America with all their nickeling and diming hard working customers with ridiculous fees. You get hit twice with charges if you dont use a bank of America atm.
