Waiting to see a loan officer 15 to 20 minutes after waiting in line to speak to a teller. Teller tells me to have a seat and someone would be right with me. I took a seat. A person walked in and was immediately seated with a loan officer. I was totally ignored. This is the Hot Springs branch. Wish I could give zero stars. Update, I have spoke with management and expressed my concerns. The very last visit was a very positive experience.

Very unorganized. Gave them the check for roof repairs on our home until we found the roofer and time to do it, also provided insurance adjustment list of repairs need. The made copy of everything which is required. Few weeks later found roofer went buy so they could make the check out to roofing company and provided the estimate and contract with roofing company. Well that's not enough I had to provide them with a actual invoice for repairs. How is that possible if they have done the work yet, and have to purchase materials? Had roofer send invoice took it up there for check. Now they lost all the paper from insurance company that they made copies of and I gave our copy to roofer. Now I've been running around for a week trying to get this done and it is ridiculous. I've been on hold for 30min on the phone trying to tell them it has been emailed there and nothing this place is a joke I guess they are keeping the money I give up no new roof.

This bank does not have your back if you get scammed or frauded...been with them for 10 years and got frauded out of 80.00. They sent a letter saying denied no fraud detected.. it was blatant fraud. Sent them all the info on the person who did the fraud and would not help. Terrible place to trust with your money...I called the number but I did not get any help from my bank. I will be taking my money out for sure. There is no benefit to banking with credit union

Impossible to do a change of address when you have a joint account. Took 3 trips to the bank, a notarized statement and a complaint call to corporate. My husband and I could not go at the exact same time so they made it as difficult as possible. AND in the meantime they fine you $5 for every piece of mail returned to them because you have not yet changed it…. A money grab 😡

I don't see the issues others have. Their web/app is updating today but it was never as dysfunctional for me as I see here. I am here because I got tired of being burned by every major bank around. It's been a year. As my VA disability hits arvest I move it here. They are secure nearly to a fault but I would rather have them overprotective than under. It's kinda what banks are hired for. Ok. So now today I called to see if a check cleared while down. It was rejected first for non endorsement. Wasn't notified. Just stumbled on and resubmitted. I endorsed and resubmitted. I had to call. They had to call back. Ok. But my check is on hold for days. I am stranded after my wreck. Now I can just keep calling back for days until it clears/app is up. I am 2 hours away from a branch but it doesn't matter cause it's gonna get turned down anywgere I try now except right here. I am trapped. A war vet who got jumped in a roadrage by a foreigner. My credit is wrecking. You're calling to collect on my cc. And I am out of groceries and patience. Rating just changed drastically reduced. And I could have done things differently had I known....

I did have a difficult time trying to get ahold of a Branch Representative to resolve my log in problems. The number that I was given kept going to a voicemail and I had to wait a day to get a response back. I then called again and received the same message that went to voice mail. I finally went on line and found a corporate number to reach a real.person to help me reset my account on line.

I had an issue with a mobile deposit, Caleb helped me out and took such good care of me, fixed the issue and explained to me why it happened and what can be done to insure it doesn’t happen again, very knowledgeable and professional young man, I would highly recommend this branch and it’s team to anyone!

This place is an all out joke. Do Not use them as your bank. You cannot make direct contact with your bank if you call their number, it's a central office and you usually have a 5 to 10 min wait minimum. staff is usually good when I go their but its been months since I've been in the bank. The online accounts are jokes, you have them setup in the bank with a staff member. after you leave better bet your calling them because its locked already. but wait you dont get that staff member you worked with you get a call center not your actual bank where people are contracted to work for Arkansas federal credit union. Ever worked at a call center?Do you realise how much information of yours is actually at risk with places like these. Seriously they may have their perks but it's not worth it after your identity gets stolen because of lack or security and discipline in a call center. remember that your BANK INFORMATION is at the hands of any operator you call into for Arkansas federal credit union at least at the bank you had a 1 on 1 face to face and could be there present while they work on your account. -Now you could have people with minimal back ground checks work on your bank account for you. sign up today :) it's easy, really just walk in , give them all your personal info walk out saying you have a place to put your money today. you wont get it back but its put up.

HORRIBLE LOAN EXPERIENCE! Specifically with the Hot Springs branch and Loan Officer Leanne Gibson. We ended up having to switch to a different lending company 5 days before closing due to a mistake on AFCU’s part (failure to determine a tax lien had expired allowing for a clear title). We walked away from AFCU despite a very competitive interest rate because we were that unhappy with them. Luckily, our new (and improved) lender was able to move forward with our mortgage and we closed on our house successfully. Working with AFCU for 6+ weeks prior to switching lenders was an absolute nightmare. The communication, ability to understand basic financial documents, and inexperience working with deployed service members was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone no matter how low the rate is! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. **edit** I contacted Cindy Beckowitz (mortgage sales manager) at AFCU the day after this review to explain my experience and express my dissatisfaction. She was very apologetic and understanding of my complaints and I was pleased with the conversation we had. She seemed to really take my poor experience to heart and stated that she will use this experience to educate AFCU staff for future transactions with other customers. I am glad we were able to have that conversation in hopes that it can be constructive and prevent issues with other customers. That being said, I will still not be conducting business with AFCU in the future and I urge others to tread lightly when considering them for a loan. Low rates does not always mean good customer service!
