America First Credit Union (inside Macey's) 36th St, Ogden

This is the most horrendous bank we have ever worked with and has costed us many wasted hours and tears due to their next-level incredibly poor customer service and ability to perform basic bank tasks. The most recent catastrophe was when we needed to wire our down payment for our new home. They had protocols in place that were going to force us to wait 5-10 days before we could transfer the necessary funds. We found a way around this obstacle, but then their entire server went down. They are going to close now for the long weekend and we are now without a home for the Memorial Day weekend. If you wnjoy wasting your time, not being able to access your money, and terrible customer service, I would recommend America First. This is the most unfortunate and unreliable bank and I will never recommend this bank to anyone.

Specifically this branch. Specifically Rich the manager here. He treated my wife very poorly. He argued with her about her name and told her that her given name and nickname are not the same. If you Google her nickname the first result tells you her given name. She has banked with America first since 2006 and has not once had a teller try and deny her access to her account over her nickname. Hopefully corporate will talk with this branch manager and give him some lessons in manners and teach him how to use a search engine to confirm things that he doesn't know. Rich, thanks for encouraging us to switch banks.

I have been banking with America First since 1992 and have had nothing but a wonderful experience. They have always accommodated every need. They are always on the cutting edge of technology. There's always a smiling face whenever I visit a branch. I especially like this branch because of its hours and convenience.

It looks like there have been mixed experiences, but I must say that my experience was pretty good. I agree with earlier reviews that they are on top of their technology game, and they pair it with a high touch performance. Trying to get a loan was like pulling teeth at the credit union I usually use. America First made it easy and I could actually apply online! Not that that’s revolutionary, but it was sure a step up from their competition!

Visited this location to open a new checking account. Absolutely awful communication. Stood in the pharmacy for 1 hour after being told they would be with us in 10 minutes. All the staff could see us the entire time and couldn't be bothered to tell us it was taking longer than expected or ask us to come back later. Basic customer service, let the customer know you didn't forget about them, should be easy.

I do not reccomend America First Credit Union to anyone. I have been a member for 27 years and they have finally lost my respect. Being a member of the military has its sacrifices. What I didn't realize is that those sacrifices can often include hits to your credit. When I joined the military I was told that all debt payments would be deferred while on orders. That didn't happen, because of this my credit took a hit. When I went to my credit union of 27 years they offered me an 11% interest rate on an auto loan and all they had to say is that I was worth no more an my experian credit score. That they wouldn't lend to me at any less of an interest rate than 11%. Even though my score is good with Equifax and Transunion and I have paid every loan off with interest, I was not worthy of any sort of "normal" interest rate. I have receivd a 5% loan from USAA who understands our service members. Shame on America First.

Clean, the teller was super nice a little soft spoken. No wait time very happy with my visit.

This bank likes to do false advertising
