Ever since leasing tire and rim from this company I had little to no complaints with the the 180 early payout option, the least had expired and Juan help me with an Extension and was able to pay remaining balance and close my account today. Prior to submitting the loan application I called to verify that there was an option to select a lower amount if the amount approved was more than the ask. The representative confirmed. After submitting the application online, there was no option to select an amount. I then called and spoke with 5 representatives who had a language barrier and kept placing me on 5-10 minute holds. This carried on for hours. Finally someone stated to contact FinWise who is the company that loans the money. After speaking with a wonderful rep at Finwise who then called American First Finance on a conference call, we were being transferred to a manager for American Fisrt Finance then the call ended. I then got in touch with the credit department who stated that it is too late in the day and they can no longer lower the approved amount nor cancel the loan altogether. I asked if I could return the funds immediately when received and was told there would be a fee still owed for $175. Overall this was a horrible experience. If you are looking for an amount lower than what is being offered, you do not have the option.

I am financing a bed from American freight and was set contracts from American First Finance that were already signed but not by me. I received a confirmation email from DocUSign stating contracts were signed on a date I was never on the website. The representatives I talked to from American First Finance said contracts can be signed without a customer’s knowledge or without them looking at the contracts, which sounds ridiculous To me. After waiting on 25 minute hold to speak with a supervisor, she confirmed my number and said she would call back if the call got disconnect. Call was disconnected and no callback. I had to call American First Financing back, to be put on another hold for a supervisor.

Their customer service skills deserve a negative zero. They should have better training for their employees who answers the phone. I reached out through email on more than one occasion and never received a response. The customer service reps are unprofessional and they don’t know or are unwilling to do the research on ones account. I paid my account of in 90days and they still charged my account on the same day with a monthly payment even thought I canceled ACH payments from my account. I will never use them again!!!!

Got me a loan to fix my car, so that's cool. However I have been calling them over the last 3 days practically every 10 minutes from about 10am until 4pm and cannot get a person to pick up the damn phone. I have heard their "Thank you for calling" voicemail message more times than anyone should. I don't know if there is only a single person that runs this entire company or they just ignore their damned phones but this is absurd. Why have a phone at all?

I called to ask what the requirements were so I wouldn't make a wasted trip to the office and I was told to bring in a 30 day bank statement which I did. that wasnt good enough. She needed to see my last 20 days worth of transactions and then the current balance etc. So what was the purpose of me bring in the bank statement that was printed on Friday no less. I think I was profiled because the first thing she asked for was the bank statement. Nothing else. So sad. I will not ever recommend them to anyone or ever come here again.

They will steal your money...I recently refinanced my home and sent them 4 checks to close my account in "one envelope" they accepted two payments and held on to the other two...they are trying to tell me that I owe them more money because 2 of the payments where not paid till today.....seriously they got all of them on the same friggen day.....they are nothing more than a Scam!!!! The interest rate is around 300% to 400%....calling the BBB AND REPIRTING THEM...SEEING ABOUT SUING THEM AS WELL!!!!

The girls who work at American First are so friendly and helpful! They always take time to help me and answer all my questions. Even though the loans are higher interest, I knew that going in and I'm glad I chose this place to get my title loan. Lots of other places have terrible customer service over the phone and that's why I chose to get my loan here.

Why are you guys scamming people? I applied then cancel never took any money from you. And you took $50 and now you are taking $68.29. Scammers. That is not good business.

No clear communication, and they love to rack up fees! I will never use this company again.
