The coliseum bank and the w mercury bank needs to train their employees the proper way to handle matters in a professional way. The problem is these young people don’t know how to address the public. A smile and being courtesy goes a long way. It started when my tried the mobile banking system. Some how the check never went thru on a Thursday. Friday came no sign of a check being deposited. My husband tried to take care of it on Saturday. At the w mercury branch. The young lady said try back Monday! I went to the bank as my husband has to work. The young lady stated she told my husband two business days. Friday is a business day and so is Saturday. The young lady was unprofessional. Handed me back the check and said wait until Tuesday. I was frustrated! Being we have bills that needs payment. Not mentioning groceries. I explained to her the check will not go in the account. Plus we have been using mobile banking for several weeks and the check has always gone in. But she wasn’t hearing it. Not even Ana Martinez helped in this situation. She’s a bank rep! Needless to say I ended up going to the coliseum bank to deposit the checks. Both tellers need training. on proper courtesy & professionalism. This is a reason why all the negative reviews. My husband spoke with April over the phone, on Tuesday and she was very professional. If this bank wants to keep customers they need to train their tellers & bank reps how to resolve issues. Not leave customers hanging without several days of funds. This was an unnecessary situation, that could’ve been handled. If the bank reps would take care of the situation. I would like to see improvement in both hampton banks. Starting off with professionalism and kindness. 💁♀️

I agree with the reviews about the ridiculous fees this is not a credit union it is a bank they do not act like a credit union in any way shape or form. They gobbled up the Yorktown never weapon station credit Union which was a fine small institution I have not had many positive experiences working with first advantage but I have had a few. They do charge their patrons too many fees. They can be very snide and somewhat rude even when speaking with them on the phone unless you have a large balance in your account I was bought out of some real estate and had a very large sum of money deposited in my account and every other employee with first advantage contacted me to try to get me to invest those funds many different ways and they could not have been more pleasant but when that money was taken out they returned to their snide almost rude demeanor.

This bank is the worse! They will nickle and dime you. Find another credit union! This the worse bank I ever had interactions with and I have 4 bank accounts.

When I go to the Yorktown branch, there is never no line three tellers standing by to help each member. Compared to when I come to the Hampton branch long line, serval credit union working member at there desk when they could help reduce line…. poor customer service

This has been a horrible experience banking with them. They have processed 3 of the exact same transactions in one week without any notice. Card declines 3 times before it then allows you to swipe. Customer service is even worse when you call because they do not resolve anything.

1stAdvantage on Coliseum Drive in Hampton, VA gives the best customer service I have ever received from a financial institution. Recently my parked vehicle was totaled while I was traveling out of state. Kathrina walked me through the process and helped me secure the funds I needed to purchase another car.
