    Had an issue resolved over the phone, the staff at this place are so lovely and are extremely helpful!! I was on the phone with Nora and she was nothing but kind to me and went out of her way to solve issues I had. When I go into the building I also receive the most amazing help! Customer service here is above and beyond, I love this branch!

    We'll see if we work through it after which I'll adjust the rating - but in the current environment WSECU is so busy it's difficult to get a response back. Hold times are egregious and updating information for decisions is difficult and arbitrary. This is more of a global WSECU issue but this is my primary branch. Edit 1/14/2022 Sarah Hodgen stepped in to help me out with my application and my subsequent concerns with my loan. She's been a godsend. I can tell this is still an organization in a bit of a crisis of definition - are they a large bank purchasing large bank services from aggregate providers, or are they a small community bank, but the accountability, accessibility, responsiveness of Sarah have really helped me through my current challenges.

    CAUTION--poor customer care. August 15 data error caused significant customer harm. Customers received multiple text alerts regarding fraud (from 2 a.m. to 4:30 a.m.). The website was down for maintenance; all branches are closed on Sunday so no human interaction was possible. It wasn't until late morning Sunday morning that a vague "error" message was posted to the website. Follow-up phone calls to identify the nature of the error were met with long (20+ minutes) wait times and equally vague responses. I am very disappointed in the lack of care. My confidence in the systems and management of this credit union has been severely shaken.

    We absolutely understand your concerns, LoAnn; we are so sorry for the alarm caused by the texts, and that this happened outside of our normal business hours. We were performing planned maintenance on our digital banking platform, which we typically schedule for the middle of the night on weekends when it will be least impacting to our members. This time, though, the update caused erroneous texts to be sent unexpectedly. Many members who received those texts called us on Monday, which did result in very long wait times. We fully acknowledge the mistakes we made and are committed to learning from this experience. You can trust that we will do everything we can to avoid anything like this going forward.

    This review has nothing to do with this branch but just WSECU in general. I loved this bank unti 2am when I start receiving text that I have transactions pending. I call the number and my god after about an hour of transfers I get to have the amazing challenge of talking to someone who can't speak a lick of English beside ummmhm and ok. She didn't understand me and hung up. Called back got the same person asked her not to hang up this time and to please just stop my card from being charged . She said ok and I just didn't get it. Did I really need to ask to not be hung up on to get help. After about another 40 minutes of trying to make her understand that fraud and theft are happening to cancel my card she finally understood why I was calling !!!!!!! Next I go back to bed finally thinking I can call and get more info in the morning as she suggested and boom more msgs coming in about transactions on my account. Card is still being used Just wow So yes you guessed it on the phone runaround again !!!!! Worst night ever WSECU used to be direct and English and informative . I loved banking with them. But if my account being taken and used and having to go through this at crazy hours in the morning is WSECU I don't want it . They did not make me feel safe that my card would be turned off etc nothing Just dissapointed greatly here . I expected much much more .

    Jaree, we can't apologize enough for the experience you had early Sunday morning with both the confusing text alerts and lack of help over the phone. You may have learned by now that the alerts being sent was an issue with our digital banking, not real fraud occurring on your account. This is why the alerts continued to go out after your card had been blocked. If we haven't already, let's connect over the phone so we can review your account activity together and get your card unblocked. Rest assured we will do our utmost to avoid erroneous alerts being sent in the future. Because you were forced to contact us outside of our Contact Center's business hours, and because your need had to do with your card, your call was directed to the Visa call center, not WSECU directly. This is why the interaction was different than you would expect from us. The Visa after-hours number is there to close cards to prevent unauthorized activity when we're not open; they weren't aware of the issue happening in our alert system. We hear your concerns with how that phone call went, and will work with our Visa contacts to improve the service they provide on our behalf. We really appreciate your understanding, Jaree, and hope to hear from you by phone if there's more we can do. Our Contact Center is open Monday-Friday from 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am-2:00pm at 800.562.0999.

    I haven't lived in Washington State in almost 15 years, but this is still my #1 bank. After using dozens of banks in multiple states and other countries I still haven't found a local bank that gives the same customer service and support that I get from WSECU despite being thousands of miles away. Kudos!

    First impression? I had a bad experience. I waited in line for five minutes going on ten, no one acknowledged that I was waiting so long even though I was the only one in line and when I tried to open a account it was suggested I do it online. Sooo... I'm currently at Obee credit Union to see if they have anyone that'll help me.

    We love this credit union! Their website is advanced beyond most credit unions, especially one based out of Alaska. They're always on top of things, and great customer service. And I have to say, it is super convenient having a WSECU ATM located in the lobby of my employer.

    Brand new member of WSECU! After a rough start at another branch, we showed up about 415pm on a Friday to get our accounts setup and were promptly attended to. Lucy was an absolute joy to work with and got us setup in no time! Highly recommend this branch and friendly staff for any of your banking needs.

    Their office hours say open, but doors are lock, won’t accept walk-ins even if they don’t have a costumer at that time. They want you to schedule for appointment by calling, I tried a couple of times, got on hold for more than 30min. still wasn’t able to get appointment. I can understand about the scheduling appointments to avoid too much traffic inside if there is.
