Two tellers working 14 people in line. Wells Fargo doesn't want to spend the money to hire additional tellers will be closing my accounts and moving to a bank who cares about their customers.

    Response from the owner

I was under time constraints to get my paperwork to Wells Fargo on time and walked in without an appointment at the Garden Of the Gods facility, and was welcomed by Chris Haskins who escorted me to his office and personally assured me he would get it taken care of for me, after listening carefully and understanding, He completed the request in short time and was courteous and gracious!! A great experience is to be had at this office, PS IF you’re courteous to them they will go out of their way for you !!!

I attempted to cash a savings bond here and was told they wouldn't do it as I don't have an account with Wells Fargo. I have had bonds cashed by other WF locations in the Springs this year, as my bank has no physical branches and they were my only option. So now, thanks to WF, I have a bunch of borderline useless paper and hundreds of dollars of debt I can't pay. Thanks SO much!

    Response from the owner

Lifesavers!!! My banking information was hacked and my accounts in jeopardy. I rushed to the bank in tears and an emotional wreck. My banker Kristin was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! She canceled the accounts in peril, helped me open a different account, as well as preventing a fraudulent check from being deposited into my old account. Kristin was very patient and EXTREMELY HELPFUL , plus didn't make me feel like an idiot for unwittingly disclosing sensitive information to fraudulent companies. I left the bank feeling as though the world had been lifted off my shoulders. Kristin...YOU'RE MY HERO!!

    Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to leave this thoughtful review, Cynthia . I’m glad to read you've had a wonderful experience while working with Kristen, and I've made sure these kind words are forwarded to the appropriate teams. Have a great day! -Jessica, Wells Fargo HL Social

Worst bank and the customer service is non existent. After reading the reviews I see I’m not the only one that feels this way. Arrive at the drive thru at exactly 4:53. I know this because I sent a text as soon as I got in line behind the only one car in line at the commercial lane. After waiting for 24 minutes pulled up just to be told they are closed. When I stated I was there almost a full 10 minutes before 5 he just said my manager saw when you pulled in and it was well after 5. He repeated that many times as if he couldn’t speak for himself. He knew exactly when I pulled behind the other car and I’m pretty sure the manager most likely saw the car after me pull in well after closing. After the awkwardness of him only being able to say my manager....he laughed at me. Sorry excuse of a bank and workers. This is not the first time we have had such awful service and unfortunately I’m sure it won’t be the last. I feel really bad for my staff that does have to deal with this bank on a daily basis and will be talking with the owner to see about switching. I should have gotten the managers name and the teller at the window but I was there August 5th. I wouldn’t waste my time going to this branch if you do bank with them or if your looking for a bank don’t waste your time with this one.

    Response from the owner

Customer service in this location is always friendly and they’re always willing to help with any situation. However, I have recently been having an issue with the company itself. I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to figure why my debit card was being declined while I’m trying to pay for my tires AFTER it was already done! I have a limit on my debit card, which is fine but o could not process the transaction because I had stopped for gas prior to going to the tire place. In which I didn’t know any of this because I was never informed. The longer I bank with this company, the more I learn what I am not allowed to do with my own money. The customer service team could not help me with my situation and could not help process my transaction. Therefore, I was left at the tire shop trying to figure out why. I’ve used my debit card and has spent way more than my limit and I’ve never had this issue before. Now, all the sudden I have this issue. I will be changing banks soon. And this isn’t my only issue either. I have plenty and pretty good reason to take my service elsewhere. Thanks for being a semi-terrible bank!

I can understand why someone might be upset waiting in the drive thru. Get out of the car and go inside. My experience with the staff of this branch has always been excellent. From the financial advise and assistance when I moved down from Lakewood, to the new mortgage on my most recent home purchase. I have found that any delays are not the fault of the tellers, but the customer who might be doing the banking for everyone in their business, to people with complicated transactions such as wire transfers. I am always greeted by a member of the staff when I come in, and my the teller helping me, nothing special about me, an 82 year old retiree. I am happy to wait my turn no matter how complicated others business is. PS. Coffee is free.

    Response from the owner

Thanks so much for taking the time to share about your positive experiences at this location, James. We appreciate you being our customer. I’m glad to read you enjoy the free coffee as well. -Shaun, Wells Fargo HL Social

Do not use the drive up window if making a cash deposit. Twice they have shorted me, the first was only $30 and they made it right, but the second was $100 and when asked, they said the drawer was even. Well someone pocketed $100 of my money that never made it to the drawer. The people working are thieves and will steal your money.

I've been in this one a few times for various things since it's near my job and it's kind of, meh. There's no drive up ATM but there are 2 walk-up ones; an exposed one on the exterior by Garden of the Gods Rd and an interior one off of the Chestnut side that requires a swipe of your card to enter the room. Restrooms are downstairs and pretty private though if you go through a maze of hallways. I prefer dealing with the employees at the Academy/Woodmen location as they seem to be more personable and friendly.

An awful experience.... ending years' long banking relationship. I was on the fence about Wells Fargo, until yesterday. The staff at Garden of the Gods branch helped me decide that I want to terminate my accounts, never deal with this institution again and tell everyone I know. Turns out, many of my friends and associates have already #walkaway from huge institutes that lie, obfuscate, use legalese to confuse the layman and when you call them on it, they can't answer a question straight. What's more, the young man who spoke with me, lied and told me no manager in till Monday. But when I obviously wasn't going away without answers, suddenly he manifested a manager, who was as unhelpful. By Monday, I'll know which small credit union I'll be moving my funds to, as it has never been more clear that Wells Fargo is burdened with too many clients, and simply can't keep up with the workload. Which must be why they created 'unnecessary' accounts for me years ago, and yet make clients jumps through bureaucratic hoops in order to file a claim against their shady business tactics. If I thought it would make a difference, I'd take my complaint to corporate about these two folks, but I don't believe that I'd get anywhere. They're all the same. They don't care about the 'little' people. All about $$. Yes, it's a pain to switch, yes, I have created extra work for myself because I have to untangle Wells Fargo tentacles from so many areas of life, personal and professional. But on principle, I will not continue to do business with those who are exposed as crooks. I'm only sorry it took me this long to decide.
