I had an incredible experience at this branch. The car loan I was able to secure saved me no less than $7,000 when compared to financing through the dealership. Cannot recommend this business more strongly, especially Member Service Rep Alma Ford.

If I could put a zero I would! First of all this has been the worst experience with a bank EVER. I've been dealing with a issue with my auto loan and been trying to give this bank the funds to resolve the issue ANS NO ONE WILL TAKE THE MONEY. Collection Dept is not the best and forgot to remove a hold on my account so I could not drop the money at a branch until she does so. Manager that spoke to me at this location was rude and showed no empathy that the collection agency told me to come to this specific location. I will never get anything through this bank again once my loan is paid up. Everyone says credit unions are the best but it must be a lie for vacu.....

What happened to Customer Service - this used to be such a great bank, now 25-45 minute Telephone waits, website not in sync, what is going on. Expansion at all cost and no concern for running a customer friendly operation - try and find management contact info, Good Luck. Very sad

I agree with the comment below about the staff being condescending. I'm not sure if staff is trained differently at this branch than at the VCC location. I've never had issues with that branch and the staff is friendly. Glenside is closer but the few times I've visited this location there are problems where they are giving me the run around over small things. The African American female tellers are the most pretentious I've come across, but why? You aren't doing yourselves any favors by making fun of customers to their face and turning them away. I tried to deposit my little federal/state tax refund into my husband's account. Semantics over who endorsed top or bottom. So what we both signed the checks and I'm asking you to deposit them in his account. So do your job and deposit them no need for attitude, looking over at coworker (mid-conversation) and smiling. Explaining every word with hand gestures and eye rolling. Save that for your sister/girlfriend time. I was able to get checks deposited after going inside all the while the "sister-girlfriend" tellers are turning around glancing at me smirking. This really hurt my feelings and was a waste of time sitting in drive thru and then having to go inside. It's not funny or cute to treat people like that. I'm never visiting this branch again. We have many family and friends who are members and I'm definitely sharing this with them to see if their experience has been satisfactory. My husband however has never had issues so from now on he'll deposit checks. And no we will never get a joint account. Because we don't need one.

My VACU story begins with me on a quest for a medallion stamp and my dad suggesting a credit union. They said if I had an account, I’d get the stamp I needed. The same very day that I opened that account, they resolved an issue I had been struggling with for months. Flash forward to now, I moved over my HSA account and tried to use it and the check eventually came back as rejected. I called and was panicked. I didn’t want to pay any fees, especially since it sounds like my account may not have been set up in the way I intended to use it. Not only were they quick to resolve the issue, they spoke to me with kindness, even when I was snipping “I don’t see this as my fault and don’t want to pay the fees.” She replied, “ma’am we agree.” I get so used to customer service that isn’t serving the customer that I forget that VACU truly does have my back and tries to actually make it right.

I have had a checking and savings account here for many years and am very happy with them. Getting a loan there was painless and the customer service is always excellent. It's great to deal with a Christian organization.

The banking itself is great but there was a time they deposited my money into someone else's account and there is a very rude teller who is always working the drive thru Windows. Why be in cuatomer service if you can't bring yourself to say "hi how are you"?

The ATM does not accept more than nine bills at a time and is frequently broken. I've done some research and found out it's intentional because they're skittish to upgrade after the major card skimming incidents. Customers are upset, employees are upset, please make the necessary changes.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would! Thw systems were supposedly sownand they were offering customers 50.00 withdrawals but encouraging people to deposit. Reminded me of the great depression. As soon as tgey come back up I'm taking all my money out ans closing this account. Im not comfortable with that at all!

The worst branch of VA Credit Union with the unpleasant manager. The VA Credit Union is a mediocre bank with many fees.
