    I’ve had an issue with vesta Corp university commons location for over the last year I moved out because of the negligence of maintenance and unprofessionalism of the leasing office. No issues get resolved and everytime I try to talk to someone I’m greeted with attitude and get interrupted and cutoff. It’s so unprofessional and almost lost my life due to maintance negligence in MY OWN apartment. Maintance did not even want to come and handle the issue when I reported the gas leak I had to call fire department and have them chew out the maintance because they did not want to show up and they hadn’t replaced the smoke dectors in over 2 years, just sad and glad I moved out.

    I live in a senior community managed by this company. They are despicable!! The senior manager who visited recently (presumably for a performance review of the on-site manager, who is only here 2 days/week for a few hours herself) demanded that the shopping carts we use to transport groceries, laundry, etc. be removed, as they are unsightly, cluttering the hallways and stolen!! The truth is they were donated to us by local stores to make it easier and more convenient for us to do our shopping! Vesta does not care one iota about the tenants of their properties. They are all about profit and nothing else!!

    I had the pleasure to work with Vesta at their HQ in Simsbury for the last 12 weeks. Everyone that I met and worked with were friendly and genuine. I had the chance to walk some of their properties down in Texas and the quality of management exceeded my expectations of what affordable housing communities are really like. Property managers within Vesta’s portfolio actually care about the conditions and services that their properties provide to their residents and will actively go out of their way to help maintainence teams resolve physical plant issues quickly.

    Village at The Chesapeake. Property is going down. They can`t keep any good maintenance men or property managers. Because The regional manager will not release funds to fix property. The maintenance staff has to band aid fix things We had brand new windows installed on the property in 2010. they have been leaking since they where installed. The maintenance man that does the grounds has no help he also can`t keep the hallways up , because tenants are throwing there trash in the hallways. When other tenants complain to the rental office nothing is done about it. One building when it rains to hard the water pools up on the top steps and comes back into the building. But Vesta wants full price for this apartments. We have security on property. but they are mainly sitting in the rental office all day. Or being used for personal security staff for the office management. There has been numerous shootings around here. and there in the office . why have them here. The regional manager has now started charging people for a service which use to be free, for paying rent online. Remember this is supposed to be affordable housing, Tax Credit property for Vesta to get the breaks. and make it affordable. Whoever heard of a property manager charging someone $8.99 service fee for trying to pay there rent online and on time. The rental office is never open on Saturday`s if the 5th falls on a Saturday or Sunday. i can go on and on. I hope some one from CT. see this and reply back. I would love to speak to someone.     Biggest mistake working for them! They are all about the numbers and can care less about the tenants. Apartments are falling apart and they don't want to spend money. They post pictures of a nice unit and deliver the total opposite with old discolored tiles that are falling apart and horribly patched floor of different colors.The area and portfolio supervisors don't provide proper training from day 1 and then blame managers for not knowing how to do things. Very poor training ethics. They come down on a manager for not correcting issues sooner, because they don't want to spend money and fail to reply when you bring a concern to their attention..... bunch of hypocrites and fakes! If you try to say something that they know they failed in correcting when they were in charge of a community, they retaliate and write you up. Vesta needs to pay close attention to these "Leaders' they have in place in the RGV area. Very shady people. They do what they want when they want. Come in late, take 2 hrs plus for lunch and then still leave home an hour early!! Really.....that's an actual 5 hrs tops that they actually work! While others stay late, NEVER take a break and even skip their 1 hour of lunch time to get the job done!!! The more you do the more they don't appreciate. The employees that miss all the time, call in sick and leave early seem to get special treatment. Don't work for them and certainly don't live in one of their communities. Not even worthy of 1 star, but the system doesn't give you the option of 0 or negative stars.

    I have worked with this company for over 25 years. They do what they say they are going to do and are extremely hones and respected I serve on two different nonprofit boards that work with Vesta every day. They really care about people - their employees, their tenants, and their business partners. I can't recommend them enough.

    Mission Del Rio (San Antonio) there is always random cars that have no parking passes on their cars parked right in front of our building hard to find parking anywhere near my building especially having kids and having to walk far because people who do not belong here are allowed to park here, we were told by letters that the gate would be fixed and it never got fixed another reason random cars come in we were than sent another letter stating we would have people towed yet no tow truck in sight, I won’t contact customer service or vesta or the office because no one does anything when you call anyways towing needs to be enforced!!!

    DON'T EVEN WAST YOUR TIME COMING TO PORT ROYAL APARTMENTS WHERE VESTA CORPORATION RUNS THE COMPLEX CUZ THE MANGER SEEMS LIKE SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S DOING AND THE ASST. MGR IS THE SAME WAY AND SOMETIMES VERY RUDE

    Poor management and staff. The neighborhood sucks and so does the apartments! Only desperate people would move here and unfortunately I was desperate years ago!
