I have been banking with the Ingleside branch since the beginning of 2017. The staff here have been so awesome! They have made me feel like family with the care and kindness that they give! Whether at the window or in the lobby, I always come in to a warm smile and welcome! I know that they have my best interest in mind! I look forward to many more years of banking with them! This bank offers international, large/scale products with a small town, family-owned kind of customer service. Their products and offers tend to beat the market. Additionally, in spite of their operation being smaller when compared to the usual international banks (e.g., Chase, Bank of America) they always strive to be up to date in technology and security measures. Excellent institution overall.

I have been banking at the Ingleside location for about 12 years now and have had a very positive experience. I have had many problems over the years that I have needed the banks assistance with and have had nothing but help from the kind ladies that work there. I once got a charge on my account from Africa and I worked with the manager Lucy to get those charges refunded to me and she even got me a Ingleside Mustangs card to replace my card that had been stolen. I frequently visit the bank to make my deposits and they have had different tellers over the years but they have always been polite and helpful, where I banked before was always trying to push me into a product I didn't need but these girls know their customers (first name greeting), it’s simple and fast service. I once had the ATM eat my money one time, granted that I was not a happy camper about this the two girls in the lobby were courteous and explained the process to me, they were able to find out if the ATM had my money and put it back into my account within a few days. I have even applied for a loan in the past and I was turned down but the loan man did explain why and gave advice on how to build good credit history. This bank is not perfect as life is not perfect but they have always been helpful and treated me like a million bucks even though I am far from. Thank you for your service ValueBank Ingleside :).

I have had a checking account with Value Bank for close to 3 years. As soon as I decide on another bank...I'm closing my VB account. I hadn't really had too many problems until this past week. I mostly bank at the branch in Ingleside, Tx. On Wednesday March 18th 2015 I went through the ATM to withdraw $200.00 since I was leaving town that evening and going on a shopping trip the next day. Well, the ATM withdrew the money from my account, but I guess there was some kind of malfunction because the bill dispenser didn't open and give me my money. I went inside and told the people what happened. Everyone was really polite (especially Alana). The day went on and they placed the money I needed back in my account, but because of the ATM malfunction, I had all these charges and discrepancies on my account and it caused me to OVERDRAFT. I called every day, multiple times a day, for 4 days and everyone that I talked to assured me that it had been taken care of. This was not the case. I felt like I was being lied to...like they were just trying to placate me. Don't tell me something is fixed if it's NOT FIXED!! By the 4th day, I was done trying to be nice. Starting from the very beginning, I had been irritated and probably a little short with everyone...my anger was simmering just below the surface. Well, it finally boiled over. I had been told on the 3rd day, that the overdraft fee was going to be gone and it wasn't. This lady literally promised me it was gone and not affecting my account. She was wrong! So I got on the phone and told the little teller girl (I think her name was Vanessa...sorry for being rude to you Vanessa) to tell her supervisor I wanted this fixed NOW or I was coming in that day to close my account. Lucy the supervisor was in a closed-door meeting and couldn't speak to me at the moment. So a little time goes by and Lucy calls me back. Imagine my surprise when, within a matter of minutes, she had pressed some little button and it magically went away and everything with my account was finally ok. This means that those little magic buttons could have been pressed from the very beginning and the problem could have been solved waaaay sooner. Someone was just too lazy to do it until I had to threaten to take my business elsewhere! Not cool! I'm not proud of the way I handled myself in this conversation, because I really was rather rude to Lucy, but I was trying to tell her how unhappy I was with my experience and she kept cutting me off and would let me finish what I was saying! That is sooooo rude! I literally told this lady to hush and let me finish speaking, and she refused. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor above her and she told me they wouldn't be back in the office until Monday, but she refused to give me a name or contact information and started spouting some crap about her having worked there for 45 years and blah blah blah blah blah, so I told her that since she had been there so long, she should have a better idea of how to treat people. Look, I work in hospitality. I deal with angry and irate people every single day, and I try really hard not to be one of them when the shoe is on the other foot....but these circumstances and this lady totally flipped my switch! Lucy is the reason I will no longer bank with Value Bank Texas.

Tellers are still passing pens and deposit slips thru the Drive Thru, defeating any procedures in place to stop the spread. They just don't get it.
