I’ve been banking with U.S. Bank for over 20 years. This particular Sandy location has To be one of the worst trained and rude tellers in the nation. Particularly an older lady with bleached blonde hair and an accent. There I said it, I don’t usually call people out but the rudeness was unbelievable, for high net worth private client, they could care less.

The absolute worst bank in the country. They’ve canceled my card twice for “fraud” when I’m purchased groceries or getting gas. They also closed my wife’s account with no noticed and sent a check with her remaining balance that went to an incorrect address. It’s unbelievable how terrible this bank is. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I manage a store in the mall and we have been banking with them for years and years. 3-4 years ago, this bank was always on top of it. Professional, quick, accurate, personable and nice every time we came in. Once the old manager, Cameron left, this place has gone completely downhill. They take literally an hour to get us change. Every time we go to get change (about once a week), we always retrieve a stack of our deposit slips to keep on record after our daily deposit is taken. Multiple times now, we have gotten OTHER STORES deposit slips. Just the other day, we just got one from a store on the mall property that is officially closed...from 7/11/20...That is so irresponsible and such a breach of personal company information. If this bank does not adhere to policies and procedures as they are supposed to, we will take our business elsewhere.

Trevor the branch manager went absolutely above and beyond to help me with a Covid relief loan and fix my cards after they had been stolen in a robbery in New York City. I can’t thank him enough. He stayed until 9 PM in order to help me out. I know they’ve been having some hard times with past employees but he’s dedicated to making things right and you should definitely go in again if you’re a U.S. Bank customer… Or if you’re not. Their ATMs are the best in the world. And I have seen them all. You can do absolutely anything on the ATM. BRAVO.

We have banked with USBank in Minnesota and now in Utah following our move over a year ago. In the past few years we have been settling the estates of both my mother and my husband’s mother. Medallion Signature Guarantees (MSG) have been required for some of the paperwork. Our other bank in Minnesota, TCF (Twin City Federal), was wonderful and helped us numerous times to obtain Medallion signatures for transferring ownership without any hassle. We brought the typical paperwork (ID, will, death certificate, ....) and we were easily given the necessary MSG. USBank in Sandy, UT, even provided a Medallion signature within the past year without hassle. However, when I called to inquire about getting another MSG now, I was told that the legal department for USBank requires us to go to the court system to obtain further paperwork before they will provide the MSG. I cannot express how frustrating this is to us. So we are going to Wells Fargo to open an account, wait a few months, and will obtain the MSG from them. We may even transfer all of our banking to Wells Fargo because we do not deserve to be treated like criminals by USBank after being loyal customers. (Btw, my husband’s two brothers were able to receive MSGs at their banks in Iowa and Colorado for the exact same transfer that we are requesting, no issues or impediments at all). We have had a pleasant relationship with the staff of our nearby USBank so this treatment has come as a huge disappointment which we are looking for Wells Fargo to remedy. Not good advertising for USBank when we tell others of our situation. UPDATE: US Bank did NOT help us resolve this issue regarding obtaining a Medallion Signature Guarantee (MSG). After talking with the bank manager, Trevor, he reiterated that we still need to complete a Letter of Testamentary (which requires an 8 page form from the district court and letters from the other heirs stating the validity of the claim; a case is then opened; finally, a judge approves or disapproves the request and who knows how long until this “case” would be resolved). Again, other banks do not require this ridiculous nonsense for an MSG. So, we went to Wells Fargo the next morning, opened a savings account and will be obtaining the Medallion Signature in 60 days, no Letter of Testamentary required. Woo hoo! Our family members are urging us to switch all of our accounts and banking needs from US Bank to Wells Fargo, which we are seriously considering. Thank you, Ryan at Well Fargo, for agreeing that US Bank’s policy for supplying Medallion Signatures is unreasonable for their customers. He even apologized for the treatment we received from US Bank. US Bank and it’s manager, Trevor, you are a disappointment and unreasonable regarding MSGs.

Regularly understaffed and can get busy, but the friendliest tellers and bankers in the Valley. Take time to remember my name and make conversation. I'd rather drive to this location for my transactions than any other, even if closer!
