    I went into the branch to get a cashier's check to pay my rent because the transaction fee for paying by credit card was a no-go for me. The fee to get a cashier's check from my checking account was $10. After I asked what level of checking account would be required to not pay a fee, the branch coordinator asked if I was planning to close my credit card in the future (I wasn't) and helped me upgrade to their Dimension checking account. Normally there would be a $20 monthly maintenance fee, but it's waived because I had a related personal Truist credit card. Walked away with my cashier's check without having a pay a $10 fee, and a smile on my face because I'd be avoiding that fee each month in future. Very grateful to Linda for taking care of my requests in such a timely and friendly manner.

    In person they are nice but it is a significant change from SunTrust where it wasn’t necessary to come in person to do my banking. Be prepared for long lines if you don’t come during weird hours. They do not have a working phone number (one that they can answer) and will not return voicemail so don’t bother.

    Unable to withdraw funds from any account at this SunTrust using MY SunTrust card. Have account more than 10 years and never had this happen. Had to go to Chase and pay a fee to get cash bc my own bank is unable to let me access my own funds. This bank is going from bad to worse, fast. Considering new banking options.

    For the last three months you have to wait for up to an hour to talk to anyone on the 1-800 number and I still haven't gotten a correct answer. It is impossible to talk to any bank in the Orlando area because none of them are answering their phones.

    I am trying to communicate with a person to assist me by phone but it is impossible, I have been trying for more than a week to get someone to answer me at the branch at Red Bug Lake Road or a representative of the bank by phone. I do not live in Orlando and where I live now there is no SunTrust branch. My account has been blocked and there is no one who can help me, the message they send me indicates that I need to communicate by phone but no one helps me, how disappointing.

    I opened an account with Suntrust 2 weeks ago with a deposit of my cash savings. All that I had to my name. They branch is located next to my home, and I thought that the ease of access to the branch, along with the name and reputation of SUNTRUST on the corner of red bug and tuskawilla being there for years that this would be a great place to bank at. The branch manager was very nice while they were accepting my opening deposit, talking money goals and money market and every other service that the bank had to offer. I never expected what would ensue after a week. I received my debit card in the mail, excited to have access to my funds and getting ready to pay my bills and enrollment for classes for the upcoming semester for college. I called to activate my card while in line at the grocery store. The call is transferred to a customer service representative who then tells me that SUNTRUST is investigating to close my account. Customer service cannot tell me why. I asked them if I would have access to the funds and they told me no. I said how is this possible. You are withholding all that I have to my name. I have no other funds. I then ask for a timeline of when to expect the account to be closed and how I would be receiving my money. They told me they don’t have a time line of when that would be. So I asked them weeks, months, years? Their response was shocking. “It could be” I rushed to my local branch office expecting much better customer service from them. I sat down with a banker and they went over the same load of information, with no timeline of when to expect my money, why they’re investigating the account, no answers or customer service at all. Sun trust was glad to take my money that they’re now holding hostage. I wish I had done a quick google search on suntrust reviews because unfortunately this bank of thieves has done this to THOUSANDS of others. If your money means something to you, and you need immediate access, or even access to your funds at all. Please do not bank with them. I am almost 3 weeks still waiting on a letter to come into the mail as to why they are closing my account. Still nothing. It’s safe to say that they’ve committed a huge wrong doing to me and many others and the process makes you feel belittled, intimidated, and worried that you may never see a penny back from them because the lack of customer service & basic empathy for a “client” My families company recently made a switch over to them. Fearing what happened with me and my funds i provided the information of what they have done to me and they are now in the process of switching banks and accounts as well. I may be one small fish with a complaint against this bank. But I will make sure that anyone I know will never do business with this branch or ANY other suntrust bank. Thanks for everything suntrust. It was great giving you my money.

    I have always banked with suntrust at this location, the staff members have been here a long time which means a lot to me. All of them are always kind and professional. I’m especially very grateful for LizJameson. Liz helped me through the death of my spouse with my finances, goals for the future and goals past that have been reached.. Liz has goes above and beyond measures to help me. She’s a true gem!❤️👏

    Recently, I have attempted to cash checks at this location twice. The first time, they said they would not cash my check in the drive through because I have a verification hold on my account and that it must be rectified in person. Ok, no problem. I came into the branch later in the week only to find out that all they needed to verify was a phone number and that could have been done through the drive through. This was frustrating, but I was told this was rectified. A few weeks later, I attempted to cash another check (this was was drawn on a Suntrust account). I was asked for my banking information. I asked why, as it was a Suntrust check, and they said it was required. I then gave my banking information to them and low and behold, the same hold was on my account as before. I informed them that this was resolved previously by Ashley who works at this branch. They said they could do nothing, as this had to be treated as a new hold. I said, well, at the end of the day this is a Suntrust check. Their reply was that since I was an account holder with this phantom hold on my account, they were unable to cash it! Mind you, this check is a check issued from the Suntrust corporate account. What if I didn't have an account with any bank? Would I be unable to cash this check because they don't honor their own corporate account? What a joke. This branch has poor customer service and inattentive drive through tellers. Last point, I attempted to cash both of these checks near close of drive through business. I suspect, as this was nearly 5:50 pm both times, they did not want to deal with this so close to cutting time. Poor attitudes and customer service all around. I will be moving my business elsewhere.
