Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Have had an acct with Suntrust for 20 years. This Gainesville Branch off Heathcote.. the WORST. Took my paper bonds, as I have done for years, to deposit.. was treated so poorly, got preached to by some teller that was probably in diapers when I switched from BOA to Suntrust. So done with this bank

Stopped in to get online user info, request for my son to use bathroom. Banker Dawn refused, Sudley branch always accommodated this service to clients. Only have credit credit, closed all accounts prior to merger.

I had lost my phone in the river on a float trip and needed some info to get my online banking going on my new phone. I called the branch in Gainesville Virginia were I opened my account. A "lady" by the name of Donna answered the phone and after briefly explaining my ordeal is when the attitude and condescending tone and questions and answers started. I understand there is security questions but she went way over board with over 6 questions and each time you could tell she was waiting and expecting me to answer wrong like I was guilty of something. After enough attitude I told her I wasnt gonna deal with it and hung up and then called my local branch, answered 2 security questions and was totally helped in a professional manner. I can't wait to pull a Karen and speak to that Donna twits manager tomorrow.

I signed up for a NO MINIMUM BALANCE account. As a new account holder I understood the 7 business day hold on deposited checks. The only checks I deposit are my payroll checks. The 2nd time I deposited the check the cashier asked if it was a payroll check as they are made available just 2 days after submission. I said yes and was able to draw on it in 2 days. This was done even though I am the sole employee and my employer draws it from their personal checking account. No problem, I was told. Today when I submitted it I was told there would be a 7 day hold again. I asked why when it is my payroll check. I was told it doesn't look like a regular payroll check and was drawn from a personal account. I asked why it was accepted as a payroll check 2 weeks ago but not today. They didn't know. I was told that because I was a new account holder that my checks would be held as a matter of policy. I asked when I would no longer be considered a new account holder so that I may draw on my checks within 2 days as I live hand to mouth and need the money to pay bills. I was told that the balance in my account has to equal or exceed the amount I am depositing or this policy would go on INDEFINITELY. So, since I will never have the amount equal to my payroll check I am depositing because I am drawing against it to pay bills in the 2 weeks before I deposit another one my funds will always, as long as I am a customer, be held for 7 business days before I can use my money. ON A NO MINIMUM BALANCE REQUIRED account??? That was not true at all! I went to PNC and they were happy to set me up and create a REAL no minimum balance required account for me, will make ALL my deposits available to me within 2 days of deposit from day one and seemed to appreciate my business.

Great folks, overly difficult web presence. Simple thing like finding bank hours is not fun.
