I've been a member since the mid 80's and like a lot of the features here. I've also had very good customer service when dealing with the councellors and tellers but I can't for the life of me understand why this credit union and the one off Sudley Manor has such horrible ATM service. Half the time it won't accept my cash or checks or is "temporarily out of service". This is a waste of time and caused my husband to quit banking here. I NEVER have this problem with Cap One where I have another acct. Please get some advice in how to remedy this before you lose more customers.

This bank has the most worthless fraud prevention coding I’ve ever seen. It has allowed grand larceny to be committed on my account 5 times in 9 years and for the past 4 years they’ve blocked me from spending my own money at least 7 times a year. This time they blocked my card right before they shut down for the whole weekend. I’m out of town and had to beg friends to wire me money at Walmart so I didn’t have to sleep in a parking lot until Monday when maybe they’ll let me spend my own money. I’ve been embarrassed for the last time with this incompetence.

I stop by this location and the service is way too slow. The employees should go and get some training with the best Branch in Centreville. The teller argued that he couldn’t find my account even with my account number then he just cut the audio so I was not able to talk back to him. If this happens again I will close my account with Apple credit Union because I will not tolerate that this teller was disrespectful.

By far the slowest Apple Federal in the county. Took them 15 min to put a check into the person in front of me's account. Then another 10 for mine. It shouldn't take 25 minutes just to put a check into my account at the drive thru. Happens 9 times out of 10 at this location. Better off going to either Manassas location (Sudkey Manor or 28) instead.

Nothing but lies. I refinance an auto loan and a personal loan with this bank with a promise from my banker that after a few months if I call they will lower the rates. Fast forward almost 18 months I've called 2x and been told both times they can not help. They will not consider a refinance or dropping the rate. Nothing to do with credit just their policy. Basically I've been lied to in order to get me in the door now they are refusing to honor their word. If this was the case I never would have opened an account with this place. Constantly crowded, slow and evidently add lying to the list. Not to mention all of their extra fees. Way too many options out there to deal with this. I would not recommend at all!!!

I had a motorcycle loan through Apple Their automatic payment set up is an absolute miserable process. Their security process is dated and illogical, which makes it extremely difficult to complete simple tasks. My loanlwas paid in full, not closed and continue to receive notices of a $5 balance. I can't get rid of this account soon enough, but even when you do - apparently you still have a balance? Tried to call numerous times. Phone doesn't seem to be working properly .One of the most frustrating accounts of my life still to this day.

This review pertains to Apple as a whole: 1:) their internet security sucks. When you keep having site security updates it waves a red flag that your online banking security is poor to begin with 2:) no matter how many times or ways you make a travel alert, your debit cards will be shut down within 48 hours of leaving your usual spending area. Typically it will happen when you need it most (like trying to get gas to outrun a tornado in the middle of Kansas, thanks for that Apple). 3:) if you want something done right, go to Beth in Chantilly or move everything to Navy FCU. 4:) business account holders get treated like the black sheep of the family 5:) check hold times are random and never explained, despite the signs to the contrary. Sometimes no hold, sometimes 2 weeks 6:) even though they absorbed IBM'S, Lockheed's, Loral's customers, they treat them like they are worse than the black sheep. They only seen to care about the customers with public school jobs or people in off the street. 7:) this pertains specifically to this branch: there are never enough Lanes open outside and never enough native English speakers as tellers.

Went in today to cash a check from my employer, first they gave me a weird look because I wanted to cash the whole check. Second, they told me they had to validate it because my account is so new even though I have the funds to cover that amount, so as you can tell I felt as if though they didn’t think I was supposed to have this check amount. Then the manager comes up to me and says that she called and cannot get the check verified at this time which is insane. That has never happened! So I get home and call my HR department to find out that the so called manager didn’t even know what she was doing when she called in to find out if my check was valid. It was valid the whole time!!! Total waste of time, this experience has totally changed my mind about apple and I will NOT ever go back to that branch if I stay with Apple FCU. Never felt more embarrassed in my life.

Why is it that this branch won't do a simple transfer over the phone from a husband's account to his wife's account? He answered ALL their security questions and was still told they could not make the transfer. Told him he had to come into the branch to do it online, problem is, he is a week out of surgery and can't come in. He was told he could do it online. What happens if people don't do online banking and don't have access to a computer, this is a stupid rule that needs to be changed!
