What a great bank. The phone call to get my refinance started was easy. My agent Kim made sure I had on - line access and I was able to just upload everything they needed. The program they offer under low cost is great. If you don't plan on staying in your home more than 5 years it isn't worth adding 3 or 4 k to your loan. The closing costs are $295 bucks. Additionally if the Fed lowers interest again In a year or two I can relock for another 5 years for $295 bucks. The have conventional programs too. If your in the market for a loan check them out. I had to drive to St. Pete for closing because other branches arent open, but that's okay. Ps. They escrow taxes, and they don't escrow homeowners insurance, you just pay that once a year yourself. Don't let that scare you off.

Had my mortgage with them for years. Banking at the branch is always effortless. The staff is nice and well informed. The bank itself has a 5 star Bauer rating so I know it is financially sound.

I recently received unsoliticed mail for a mortgage refi. I called to be removed and the guy actually told me to relax when I asked him to remove me and then began to berate me. Stay away from these guys!

I called to open a CD for a non-profit. Third Federal no longer opens CDs for non-profits. Doesn't seem like a great place to put money if they don't support the non-profit groups. Wasn't looking for free checking, putting money into their bank that they would have made money from.

Great experience @ this bank. Walked in, the lady asked what I need help with, put me in front of who I needed to talk to, and that was that. Business handled without a long wait
