    My husband and I were first time home buyers opting for a new build of a townhouse, rather than a resale. Anyone that knows about new builds knows there are incentives given by the builder when you go with one of their "preferred lenders." We were given two options for lenders and we went with the lender that was not Jamie Becker as we felt he was more personable and professional. Later down the road we found out that our pick for lender was no longer an option and had to choose another lender. We had already qualified with Jamie - he was with another company at that time - so we decided that we would just go with him as he already had all of our information on file. Not a good plan we would find out. His assistant, or whatever she is, Kim Lyons was the most unprofessional person we worked with throughout the entire process. She continuously asked us for documents that we had already sent to her, she would always email saying she forgot to ask for another document, and when we would tell her that we had already sent her a document she would make an excuse about "receiving hundreds of emails daily that she had to work through." The biggest thing for us was when we received our initial appraisal for our new home, it was sent to us with the wrong unit number on the front page, as well as throughout the entire document. When I emailed her to see if we were sent the wrong one by accident, she asked us to tell her what pages the unit number was wrong on. I just felt that, as the homebuyer, that was not my responsibility to do for her. It was incorrect on 26 pages by the way. That document should never have been sent to us. She made an excuse about having saved the correct appraisal to her hard drive, but somehow sent the wrong one. Then, on the day we were closing, specifically while we doing our final acceptance walk of our home and 30 minutes before closing, we received an email stating that she forgot to ask for our W2's from 2019 and needed us to send those to her ASAP! Thank god for our Real Estate agent! He called his contact at our title company and verified if we would need to postpone our closing time since she needed that document ASAP. Luckily, we didn't need to postpone, but she had already cleared us for closing the day prior. Finally, we were told that our loan was going to be transferred to another institution for servicing and to be on the lookout for information regarding that change before our first payment was due. One week before our first mortgage payment was due we still had not received anything regarding our servicing transfer from the Becker Team or the new servicer. I reached out to Kim and she let me know that the transfer was still pending with her servicing department and that our first payment should be sent to their company HQ in Missouri. All in all, I would not recommend this company, specifically Jamie Becker and his team, as they are sub par in communication and were not helpful in any way. As a first time home buyer you are already stressed and have zero idea what to do, but his team literally made our journey so much more stressful and made us do a majority of the work and correspondence for them. Plus, fix their mistakes. **My response to their response** I believe you should check ALL of your records again because our dissatisfaction was very apparent in our email responses to Kim, and I still have all of the email communication as well. You are confusing our kindness and helpful nature as being satisfied! I'm really tired of hearing your excuses about working in the pandemic also. It has effected everyone and was not unique to your business. Also, speed is great in your industry, but I was more concerned with accuracy and you just flat out failed to deliver on that. I understand negative reviews are difficult to digest, especially when you're not used to them (or people just don't leave them). That being said, you still have the opportunity to try to be kind and humble even 2 months after close and you obviously aren't interested in doing that. I hope my *honest* review helps.

    Your version of events is in stark contrast to our records of the loan process and run counter to all of your emails to us throughout the loan process expressing gratitude and offering to get us anything we needed to close your loan. The fact that you are posting this comment two months after your loan closed and you mentioned nothing about being dissatisfied during the loan process makes it very difficult for us to remedy. At the time of your application for financing, we were managing historic levels of volume along with massive fallout and constant guideline changes due to the pandemic. We did everything in our power to be transparent about the realities of the situation with our clients as every day presented a new set of challenges. Not only did we communicate with you constantly and quickly during the loan process, regardless of the fact that we were all being impacted personally and professionally by the global crisis, but we got you a clear to close two weeks prior to closing. For anyone who has closed a mortgage loan in recent history, communication and speed are key factors in determining a satisfactory experience. We are 100% committed to delivering a good experience to all of our clients. We have almost 40 years of combined mortgage experience between us and we go above and beyond to satisfy our clients on a daily basis. We are not a huge company filled with people who could care less about individual customers, we are a small team of experienced mortgage professionals and every single customer and loan matters to us.
