I visited the Queens branch for the first time this morning. Katrina, the bank employee who assisted me, was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and the utmost professional. She was also very accommodating especially after learning that I had traveled out of state to take care of some business at this branch. It isn’t often that one receives superb customer care, but I can say that I did this morning. Thank you!

    Response from the owner

I had my first experience visiting this location as I have my accounts out of state. When I first walked into the branch, I was greeted by multiple staff and felt very welcomed. I was not sure how to do my transaction, and needed to ask for help. Without hesitation one of the girls at the desk saw me looking at the slips, and walked over to me to help before I could even ask!!! How amazing! I went to the teller to take money out and was greeted with a smile! I certainly will be coming back to this location! So glad TFCU is in Queens!!!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would - terrible service no matter how many times I tried to give them a chance. I've gone on multiple occasions for shared branch payments, and on each occasion there were unnecessary behaviors by staff that would make anyone question professionalism and customer service. To name a few, once I parked in their lot for literally few minutes shortly after they had opened - and one of the branch staff came up to me before I even got in line yelling at me for parking tail first instead of head first. I explained to her I'm sorry I'm just going to make a quick payment and I"ll be moving my car (mind you, it wasn't blocking the entrance or in the way of any other cars, and it was literally the only car in the lot since they had just opened the branch). She kept insisting that I move my car and was constantly, anxiously looking out the window as if the FEDS were after her - very uncomfortable experience. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes, thinking wow these people are nuts. The next few times I'd go, the tellers looked like they were in a funeral service - stoic faces, no smiles or greetings, very slow processing speed to a simple shared branch transaction that shouldn't take more than a few minutes, but for some reason would take a good 10-15 minutes with me (I would provide all branch and loan account info to them, so this slowness/confusion was not necessary). Once I came 7 minutes before closing and the teller was completely flustered, couldn't decide if she should process my transaction or not. I'm sorry, 7 minutes before closing is still operating business hours, so that shouldn't have been a difficult decision and the customer should be acknowledged at that point. But what upset me most, was being lied to. I typically pay by cash but one day I was running a bit late and didn't want the branch to close when my payment was due, so I called in advance and asked if any charges/fees will be done if I made a debit card payment - the phone staff from the branch insisted multiple times that no, no fees. I get there with my cash, and the next thing you know, the teller is about to process my debit and goes "we don't charge fees but your bank might." And I said I'm sorry, what? "Well we process this as a cash advance." I was absolutely livid. I asked specifically about all of this on the phone, but the phone person failed to disclose this to me. I called my Chase bank representative at the same time and she said that was inappropriate, they know very well that a cash advance will amount to a fee and that information shouldn't have been withheld. Problem is, they never told me it would be a cash advance withdrawal or that my own personal bank may charge fees. That was when I complained to management. It is NOT ok to have dead corpses working behind the teller line, and taking their sweet time on the most simple transactions. It is NOT ok to have crazy people running to you to move a car that's not blocking any other cars and not in the middle of the driveway. And it is definitely NOT ok to lie to customers point blank. These behaviors are not professional or customer-based. I would not recommend this branch to anyone who wants to be a regular. Please, don't waste your time here.

This place does NOT exist. Do not go here. It just possibly might be a P.C. Richard store, though. Check out the picture. Your research is valuable.
