I went to 1 location and the lady at the front desk told me it would be a 2 hour wait because they were understaffed. I asked her where the next nearest location was and decided to drive there. When I got to the second location the lady at the front desk told me it would be a 15 minute wait. After waiting patiently for about 30 minutes I went back to the lady at the front desk and asked if the guy sitting in the office alone could help me since he was not assisting anyone. She said he just picked my name out of the cue and was coming to assist me now. Alex Dumeus started the application to open the account but he said he could not use my ID because it was expired. I told him I recently renewed my ID online and was waiting on the physical ID to arrive. I have a digital driver license temporary extension issued by the Division of Motorist Services. He claimed he could not use that because he has to "scan" my ID. He said to come back with my new ID or my passport. It wouldn't take long to finish the application because all he had to do was scan the ID and create my login. When I got home I found my new ID in the mail so I drove back to the second location. I arrived at 5:37 pm and the lady at the front desk told me it was too late because it takes 1 hour to open the account and they close at 6 pm. I told her I was here earlier and Alex said my application was almost done - he just needed my new ID. She asked for my ID and I waited a few minutes while she sat at the computer typing. She eventually told me Alex said I had to come back on Monday. I asked why because he said the application was almost done. She said he didn't say why - I just have to come back on Monday. Again, Alex was not assisting anyone so I don't understand why he couldn't just scan the stupid ID and finish the application. I get it's almost closing time and you want to go home but if a customer took the time to drive to the branch (twice) and arrive before closing, please put forth some effort in providing good service instead of being dismissive without an explanation. I work in customer service also and when clients contact me 2 minutes before I'm I off, I still stay around a few extra minutes to help. It happens all the time. Maybe I'm just a considerate person but this guy had 20 minutes on the clock left. Surely he could scan an ID and create a login in 20 minutes. I work standard business hours just like you so "just come back on Monday" isn't as easy as it sounds. I was trying to expand my business with Suncoast but to be honest, at this point I don't even know if I want to keep my existing business there. This firm needs to hire more people - a 2 hour wait is ridiculous. 1st location I visited: 950 W Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL 33612

Love banking with Suncoast, but the fraud is a concern to me. I got a text message stating that some charges went through on my account - didn't even allow the charges to get declined. All charges are in a pending status... it would be nice for the 1-800 fraud protection people to allow the charges to be stopped before going through especially if three try's were trying to gas somewhere.

I called Suncoast to raise my credit limit, and I mentioned something about a number I got as a search result for Suncoast's credit card department. I called this number and it asked me to input my credit card info to verify membership, and I briefly mentioned it to the rep assisting me after I hung up with the malicious number. Next day I saw an alert for fraudulent activity as a warning when I opened the app. Nice. 👍

There's always a long wait to speak to a rep... I had an appointment and the check in lady told me they don't even do appointments. On any given day they are short staffed. Definitely come here when you have time to kill

They are the worst they say they will help you refinance your auto loan with a low APR and then they made you wait weeks for emails for you to close up, then they call you very unprofessional saying that you have to do a downpayment of $10,000 like what is wrong with them, definitely changing bank

Suncoast should be ashamed of themselves.This place is a disgrace. Because it's in the poor neighborhood they treat it as such. Nothing's functional. The Drive thru is disgusting. ATM's barely ever work! Every other location is very up to par but I guess that's because they're in the "good "neighborhoods! The people are great tho. Very helpful and friendly. I hope they dont treat their employees like they do the physical location!
