I have been with the credit union since I was a teenager and never had issues at all. My wife and I went to the Hammond rd branch because they are pretty good, I refinance my car with them last year and the service has been excellent. When I tell you do not go here to apply for a mortgage! They are sloppy in communication and following up. First, they had to send our information to the VP because if you don't have a certain credit score they send it for review (but they love to say they don't base anything off credit scores...a lie) then it took over a week to hear back because the VP was on vacation. NO one followed up and I had to call several times. The financial officer we worked with named Ashley was doing something else the following week so we had to work with another financial representative. This is where it starts getting worse!!!! First Heather tells us that our student loan was hurting our debt to income ratio because we needed an actual payment reporting. If we could get something to show a payment. I came back the next day with papers from our student loans reporting a payment they will use, she then says "oh you misunderstood it needs to report as well" She never said that not even less than 12 hours ago. we asked for them to give us an amount we would qualify for because they never told us. So again this back and forth, "I will talk to heather, talk to Ashley, and let you know." I had to call and send several emails to finally get a response back. Only for them to tell me, we would need to come in and reapply again, "They were under the impression that we were going to wait until our student loans reported our payment" When I tell you it took everything in me not to go up to that Branch and curse them out! This was the worse experience I have ever had. 3 weeks of literal stupidity! I contacted the president of NCSECU and the Branch Manager about the horrible communication of this Branch. I was livid at how unprofessional and giving misleading the information was. We went to another branch and got it resolved in One, YES One Day!!!

The bank re-enrolled my loan into auto pay even though it had been cancelled almost a year ago. This resulted in overdraft fees and me not being able to use my debit card all day. Took me two days on the phone to get this mess corrected. The manager Laura Weber was extremely rude and did not want to refund my overdraft fees. Inside tellers are extremely slow along with drive thru. Avoid this branch at all costs.

I would like to thank Heather Lawton for above and beyond customer service.she gave me and my wife piece of mind and really made us think about planning. to many times I’ve seen the results from poor planning.just thanks.gillespie and Gwendolyn parker

Walked right in and Ryan Page helped me to consolidate some silly credit card debt into a personal loan and was very helpful in understanding rates and fees for different products. Within 20 minutes I had my loan and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process. I will be back.

The way they talk down to you. If you ever fall into a hardship DO NOT GO TO THIS BRANCH. They keep reiterating that you should have made better choices with your money. I get it but if I am going to be homeless you think I am going to pay a loan first? things happen.. some people don't chose to just not pay their bills.. REMEMBER that could be you on the other side.. I lost my HUSBAND in a CAR ACCIDENT.. did I choose that??? to be a widow with 4 KIDS!!!!! but life happens.. I think they need to go through a customer service course. EVERYONE is not a people person..NO matter how many DEGREES!!

As members of the SECU we had a legal document witnessed and notarized today, June 14, 2017. In the past we have always been asked to come into a staff member's office to have a document witnessed and notarized. In this case we were not invited into an office but completed the process at the kiosk during which we were asked to move over by one of the staff so that another customer could be accommodated. Completing this process in this manner is unprofessional and shows little appreciation for members.

Bank with them for years never had a problem up until I became homeless and didn't have a job then they froze my account after I talk to them trying to work out something

The drive-thru is so slow. I’m not sure if they need help or what but it’s ridiculous to sit in line for over 15 minutes with no movement.
S
Service is always slow at this credit union. The employees do not speak when you go through the drive-thru, but they will say thank you. I don't care to go to this one, but it's convenient.
T
Don't come here if you're in a rush. Drive-through is the slowest I've EVER been to, when they're not even busy.
