SouthStar and Metro Elite Home came recommended from friends. The convenience of a one stop shop for all realty needs should have been suspicious but we took the bait. The entire loan and title experience with Southstar Title & Escrow LLC ("supposedly" run by one of the Elite Home partner's wife) is very shady. The rate promised was to be "competitive" with the market - only until you shop around and realize you are being taken for a fun ride (at your cost and not fun for you). So if you have some degree of common sense and are even 50% smart you will realize the realtor is not working for your benefit but has his in mind taking advantage of his customer's either economical and/or social vulnerabilities and god forbid if you ask any logical questions, it gets worse for you. If you were unhappy with any of your realtors you worked with in the past or currently are; after working with SouthStar and Metro Elite, you will realize how terrific your other realtors actually are. It cant get any worse than Metro Elite and SouthStar's shady mom and pop business model. They will stay in business by taking advantage of people who do not know any better, either because of a less than ideal credit score or some other limitation. Poor customer service, unethical business model – enough said.

I would never recommend Marcela, especially if the builder refer you to put your money here, do yourself a favor and find another escrow account that will protect your money.
