SDCCU Carlsbad Branch El Camino Real, Carlsbad

Tellers here are very nice, but they need to replace the manager. Her mannerisms are abrasive, inflexible, and unprofessional. I understand the need to uphold policy but there is a way to explain it that shows the "member" that you care. In the most recent incident with the manager, the teller approached her to ask her a question and the manager rolled her eyes and spoke about me as if I wasn't standing right there. She didn't bother coming over to talk to me. Even the teller looked embarrassed by her manager and whispered that she would waive the fee. SDCCU advertises that they arent Big banking and that they have members. I have accounts at Big banks and the managers there have never once treated me like this brash lady did. If this were a one time instance, I could understand, but I've seen her act this way with other members on multiple occasions. I hope the district manager sees this review and finally takes action as this manager seems miserable in her position. Please promote one of the very pleasant tellers and turn the branches reputation around!

Nothing like management watching the employees struggle instead of offering help like management is mean to do. Absolutely ridiculous to see a line to the door, 2 tellers and management doing a training, this has to be a joke. Help your employees

I have been banking with SDCCU for over 3 years now for my auto loans, and I am continually impressed with the high levels of customer service and attention-to-detail. The Carlsbad branch in particular is located in a convenient shopping plaza with ample parking, and it is very well run by the manager and staff, even as the stringent Covid-19 measures have led to longer wait times. Everyone has been really supportive of my goal to pay off the car ASAP, and they're more than happy to answer my various questions regarding general finance and savings strategies.

Terrible experience getting a car loan. A total waste of time with untrained staff. I was given wrong information on several occasions.

Had an excellent experience at SDCCU w Ibrahim Pineda. He was a calm, respectful, encouraging representative that gave great advice and handled my loan w professionalism. Make sure to make an appointment w Ibrahim if you plan on visiting SDCCU.

First of all, their ATM at the Carlsbad branch does not except cash deposits! It’s a 10 minute drive to get there and their ATM is not working on Sunday 6/13/21. They have the worst customer service ever! They use the Covid pandemic as an excuse to give you a horrible service. Escondido branch is much better and so is the Vista as well. The SDCCU Carlsbad Branch on El Camino Real next to the Vonz is the worst credit union Ive ever dealt with in my life!!

Customer service timing is horrific. This is the 4th time that I cannot reach anyone or get a call back when I leave my phone number that "keeps my position in line". I was on hold for an hour and twenty minutes today. I hung up and came to the North Carlsbad Branch. Position 5 in line took me thirty minutes to get inside the credit union to wait in another line of 5 people for a teller. The security guard said four tellers were working; there are two. So I have wasted 2 hours and 30 minutes for a very simple transfer that canmot even be done online.

I left a regular bank 3 years ago, do to being charged for direct deposit when they said it was free and they wouldn't refund 18 months of fees. SDCCU of Carlsbad is the best, no hidden fees, always helpful with questions, you can call directly just pick up a card and Darla, Emma and the entire staff are amazing people. Wouldn't do busineses anywhere else.

The manager at this location doesn’t know how to be a manager. Anything loan auto related be careful going here. I won’t go into detail on my motorcycle sale but she almost costed me a lot of money. She has caused issues a separate time trying to deposit a check
