    My ATM card got locked preventing me from depositing checks into my account, regardless of ATM I used (I tried a few). The following events unfolded over the span of a month: 1. Called in to have my card unlocked and was assured the problem was solved 2. Drive to ATM to deposit my checks, account still locked 3. Called again to have my card unlocked and was assured the problem was solved this time 4. Drive to ATM to deposit my checks, account still locked 5. Called again to have my card unlocked and was assured the problem was definitely solved this time 6. Drive to ATM to deposit my checks, account still locked 7. Called back and was told that the ATM card has never been unlocked and never could be. Apparently the only option is to issue a new card with new number. I wish I was told this at step #1 I am not sure what is going on with this institution, but there certainly seems to be a noticeable degradation of provided service and solutions to customer problems. Perhaps SLFCU has gotten too big?

    I opened an account almost 1 month ago and to this day never received a debit card. Cant wait to close my checking account here. I would close the others but I am forced to carry a savings account in order to pay my auto loan, another ridiculous situation. just like I was forced to leave at least one star in order to leave a review. if you are looking for another banking institution I would recommend you look elsewhere.

    I want to give this “credit union” a zero because that’s what they deserve. They are xenophobic and misinformed. I was denied a loan simply because of my immigration status (a violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act) and when faced with questions and asked to be held accountable, they decided to close my account without prior acknowledgment of their shortcomings. Their excuse was that “my account should have never been opened and the employee who assisted you that day does not work here anymore.” Please somewhere else for banking, anywhere would be better than dealing with the dehumanizing and rude staff at SLFCU.

    I opened a signature loan with them a while back. Their system if you are late blocks transfers directly into a loan, I became late by mistake, was unable to do a transfer and at the time it was hard for me to make phone calls which is what you have to do in order to pay if you are late call them. So I messed up and let it run for a while. Well I April of this year I started paying it off and by June I had it paid off. So the account is now closed and I thought everything was good. Until I looked at my credit report and realized that they are still reporting negative information to my credit on a closed account, only with Sandia Labs can you not be making payments on a closed account and it be reported negatively on your credit. I sent them a letter stating I wanted the negative information after I paid it off removed and the payments reflected, they reflected the payments, but have failed to remove the negative information that they placed on my record after the account was closed. Be very careful with them.

    Representatives have no idea what is going on and cannot answer basic banking questions. Customer service is complete garbage and banking services are criminally bad. Credit union should be reported to state regulators and shut down.

    I really like this location. It is ENORMOUS! The Staff is very helpful and patient. It has a great parking lot and great drive-thru. This location is great because it has multiple of everything. On a somewhat construtive critical note: I'd have some tellers refrain from referring to Members as "guy", "boss", or "buddy".

    Computer system was giving having a hard time pulling up my account for whatever reason, the teller David was able to resolve the issue quickly, helped me complete my transaction, and made the extra-time it took enjoyable because of his pleasant demeanor. Keep up the good work!

    Online banking is awful! Why is it so hard to pay my bill?! The only sufficient way to pay is in branch which is unfortunate as I no longer live in New Mexico, anytime I call to pay there is a $10 charge and they say they're going to mail my statements so I can send a payment by check but I've complained twice and nothing has happened. Once I pay off my loan I will not be banking with them ever again. Complete trash.

    I've been banking here since my parents opened me an account when I was ~10 years old. 30 years later I've never had a problem. It's easy to take to someone when you call, and everyone is very friendly when you walk in the door.

    I've been banking there for 42 years. It has really gone down hill in the last 3 to 4 years with one surprise after another. Just today, I found out they debited 6 payments of $468 from my account instead of one! I'm down over $2300 dollars now because of the glitch as they called it.They said it would be fixed today but wasn't. Guess I'll have to report this fraud to police and credit union association tomorrow.
