We had an issue with a deposit. Kim stopped in to the Ames office and talked with Olivia. Low and behold Olivia assisted him in taking care of our issue. Great job Olivia! Keep up the great work! Karla Scheuermann

I am not sure why there are so.many 1s on this place. I have been a member longer than most employees there. Since 1980 this has been my credit union. My dad was an original member. We have had problems over the years but I take part of that as me and bad banking habits. I've never had any teller be rude. Never had no one work with me if I was in a bind. We moved 2 hours away and still worked fine. Banking is always changing and I'm glad my credit union is always doing its best to keep up with things.

We joined River Valley Credit Union when we moved to Ames 24 years ago. They have earned our trust after years of great service. Over the phone, online or in person they have always been professional, helpful and kind. We are very satisfied customers!

Horrible communication. Was not getting letters they said they were sending out. Didn't know they have not received the title to a car. Decided to threaten vs. picking up a call and talk to me.

Great hometown credit union. I had trouble with my debit card when I joined, and they worked really hard to correct the problem, even though the error was with the card vendor. The tellers in Ames are always friendly and helpful. All around, a great place to bank!

Way better then the big banks! Great staff.

Had numerous loans with RVCU and paid perfect. Was going through a divorce while keeping my good credit, but they turned there back on me. Poor excuses by both Deb and Eric. Thankfully, went with Collins Credit Union, they actually know what there doing.

Got a loan through this place and they sent me my first bill 2 weeks after the due date. They then sent me a letter a couple days later saying Im delinquent on my payments. I talked to someone on the phone and they said they couldnt do anything about it. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

Very poor service the tellers are always snappy and rude got my first loan through them and I do not live in Ames they refuse to take card over the phone and I’ve had a check there for weeks before they even acknowledge it but other times they take it right away makes it very difficult to pay them an hour away not very willing to work with anyone it’s been an ongoing struggle for over a year now once I get this loan paid I will never in my life do business there again strongly do not recommend especially if you live out of town more headache than it’s worth

worst experience ever , would not recommend Denise or credit union to anyone ...they went above and beyond to make things difficult and rude , Denise the loan officer actually hung up on me ..nice
