Be careful with car financing. If you want to avoid stress, frustration and more. Do NOT finance cars at Rio Grande Credit Union. I financed a car and years later I paid-off and canceled my account with this bank. This bank continued to charge me from my account the monthly payment without my authorization two months after closing my account, leaving me a fee of 28 dollars for each charge on my account. They sent me to a collection agency leaving a negative balance in a closed and canceled account. They did not contact me, they did not call me, they did not send me an email and they sent me to a collection agency. There are no excuses for this. I called the bank and they didn't answer me. Taking money without authorization from another bank's account should be illegal. They send me to a collection agency and they are guilty. They need to be sued. We have to stay away from banks like this. Updated: They called me to tell me if I had a question about the negative balance, I mean negative balance that I had due to their mistakes. When I tried to explain everything that happened, so they could give me an explanation, the representative yawned and said anja anja you're done, I mean they're definitely rude.

Made an appointment to talk about my accounts and possibly refinance a loan. Was given a number to call and they would get back to me in 24 hours. I said well that's why I came in and made an appointment. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait to talk to someone. Made no since to try to have made an appointment to have to wait that long. Very unsatisfied

earlier in the week i wrote a review about this credit union and i have to admit i jumped the gun because the application process went through but after that don't expect any communication from these guy's they are horrible at getting back with you from the loan officer to the branch manager . i called everyday about my concern and the people on the phone are nice and friendly and promise a call back and that's the end of it after about a week of no return phone call i had to go into the branch to take care of my concern .neither the branch manager or the loan officer at the rio bravo location would follow through on their commitment to return my call this is a terrible way to run a businessi would not recommend this credit union to my worst enemy and i'm pretty sure there are others that experience the same problem.

The most friendly, professional, knowledgeable and in no time I was finished and the loan application was complete and ready to go. I did not even have time to check my email (which I was kind of hoping to do while I waited to complete the loan process). The process was that fast, seamless, easy, simple and a pleasure to behold. I have been a member for 13 years. Recently I've experience the worse customer service within the past few years. I have moved out of state but kept my bank open in my home town. I tend to always encounter Desiree on the phone. She appears frustrated, annoyed, and impatient. My final straw was waiting for a return call from the Director Jesus. I reached out and it took a month no return call. Finally reached out to the bank on my day off waited quite some time and encounter Desiree once again she attempted to remain professional but you can tell she was annoyed and frustrated with me. My request was just speak to a supervisor or Director, she took it upon herself to read my past note and say I've been informed that they cannot assist me with what I am calling about. My response was I am requesting supervisors assistance. She then proceeded to say they were not available she could send me to a voicemail after informing her I am been waiting for a callback and it's been a month. She proceeds to send me too his voicemail and of course it is not working and I was unable to leave a message. I had to call back Desiree answers of course, I informed her I did not want to get off the phone until I spoke with the supervisor. At this point my original concern is no longer a concern, now it's about customer service. The supervisor who got on the phone was very understanding she listened but all she could say was she will review tapes and hope that this doesn't happen to the next customer. I feel as though if I am a member and I've been a member for over 10 years when something is not done correctly you should at least attempt to apologize offer a complementary whatever to resolve and keep your customer instead she was OK with me saying I want to close all accounts and no longer do business because I don't feel valued as a customer. I'm very disappointed and thought I would share my experience.

Always full of excuses! Can’t even do a loan payment with my DC. This starts from the managers to the tellers, you guys need to focus on treating your employees better to have better customer service! Any financial institutions can offer a loan/account but it’s the customer service that counts. This is what happens when I get denied service for making a payment with my debit card from another institution, great I’ll be back tomorrow since I live out of town! Blame the girl who was on the drive through around 5:25pm on Thursday.

Never had any problem with this bank. I have been with this bank for 2 years and i love them. But they need more rep answering phones. The wait time is too long. I waited over 45 minutes before i hung up out of frustration. That is the reason for 4 stars. Other than that they're great.

I am living working in Texas an I had to cancel my bank card , and it’s been 9 of the 10 days an all I get told is be patient. I have to keep going to share banking locations because they will not put a rush in my card. I keep getting the run around about when it was sent out. This credit union has gone downhill. I don’t recommend starting a checking or saving with them . Total lack of consideration or understanding what it is to be working out of town an away from Albuquerque.
