How do they pay the rent? Is it a front? They clearly don't want your business. They want you to leave as soon as you walk in the door. I'll spare the expletives out of good etiquette; however, several pejoratives come to mind in describing the staff that work there.

I've had very few problems here. Yea, the loans are outrageously high in interest but this is a pawn shop not a charity lender. I always end up dealing with the lady when I walk in. That's just how it usually works out for me. She does seem a bit standoffish but, when you don't have an entitlement attitude and treat people with dignity and respect (like the way YOU want to be treated) it typically comes back to you. Shocking, I know. By the way, they did an excellent job of repairing my jewelry.

I have been coming here for 10yrs as a customer. I have pawned items as well as purchased things here and have always had a good experience. The negative reviews are from angry people who were upset these guys didn't want their stuff. I have been turned down myself, but they explain why. I have always been treated with respect and a smile. People forget the pawn business is about risk and reward in combination with supply and demand. if they take a risk loaning you money on an item, they also have to consider how much of that item they already have and how they are doing selling. if they have 50 ipads, and they are sitting on their shelves for a year, it may no longer be worth the risk of taking on more.

I walked in with my one year old, not reading any reviews prior, and immediately smiled at the woman behind the counter, who just stared at me. I was looking at movies when she called over and asked what I was looking for, where I told her children's movies. She directed me to a tiny section, and told me that was what they had, where they were also very pricey for a pawn shop. Then I would try to wander to look at something else she would immediately asked what I was doing. Where I would respond, "just looking." She was obviously suspicious of me, which was super uncomfortable. And unwelcoming. I was in there for probably 5 minutes before I told them goodbye and to have a nice day. She didn't respond, let alone smile, but the man with her smiled at us. After reading the reviews I really don't understand how this place is in business. Other than maybe having little options in town. But whatever you may need to do, it's worth driving a little further than to take your business here.

The older gentlemen was very pleasant. I just like go pawn shops. I read the reviews before going. Wanted to see the "Rude Lady" everyone was talking about. I had never seem a pawn shop with 2 stars on Google Maps. I'm a trucker I seen alot of pawns shops in my travels. Didnt get meet "Rude Woman" try again next time.

Had a mild interaction with a employee in the parking lot while going to the adjacent business. The guy was rude, drove through the parking lot at faster than normal speeds and told us we were parking in "his spot" . Maybe he should put up a sign saying the place is reserved for employees only. Will never spend a dime in that place due to the interaction.

This pawn shop has no customer service and seem very racist. There were two men working when I stopped by trying to get a loan for an IPad & a 55 inch Toshiba flat screen LED tv. A big tall one with gray hair, and a little skinny leather vest wearing one that highly resembled the Dad from Duck Dynasty. He gave me evil looks and was very rude & short with his words. They had the audacity to tell me that tablets were only running for $10, didn't bother looking at it to see that it was a newer iPad. So I'm standing there looking at both of them in disbelief & say "$10 for an IPad are you kidding me?" Then after carrying the tv in the shop by myself, they tell me they were only going for 20-$40, then insisted on letting me know I wouldn't even be able to get $100 for the two items. I gathered my things & hauled myself out very quick! I ended up getting a loan for my iPad only (deciding not to pawn my tv), from a pawn shop in Mt. Vernon. I was given $120 (what I asked for) for my iPad, and could have gotten more. I agree with another post on here. This pawn shop needs to be shut down!!! It seems they resort to lies about prices to get rid of customers they don't like. I'll never patronize this place again.

Community...NOT. How can they be proud members of our community when they are doing what they are doing. They have the island, and the military, The husband is fair go to him if you dare enter. If you deal with the lady prepare to get stared down and judged (lesser) the moment you walk in the door, she is very rude and has NO business etiquette. btw the first rating is from one of thier employees, electrical department.......They need to be shut down
