Best pawn shop in town! I will continue to go to Randy's and have not had any trouble from him. My friend and I have been customers of his for our golf gear and looking at possibly buying hunting supplies. Every time we go in his employees and him are always friendly and very fair with us. I have yet to have a bad experience

    Response from the owner

Thanks Vlad Dracul !!! I really appreciate you guys and enjoy our visits! My employees and I will always be friendly, grateful and treat you like you should be treated because I thank of you guys as friends, not just another customer. If one of my employees gets out of line, just let me know and I will fix it, even if it's me!! Thanks for the awesome review and I look forward to seeing you again. Take care and I wish you a great New Year! (PS, I think that you should have hunting gear in your golf bags ;-) just in case of bears and chupacabras.)

The only mistake you can make with them is not going to them first! AMAZING service! Awesome prices! Snagged a brand new bow! And paid way less than I was expecting! I mentioned what I was using it for (bow fishing) and he started recommending a few they had in stock. Snagged the perfect setup! Thank you again!!

    Response from the owner

Thanks David! We appreciate your business! Have a great day!

I’ve done business with Randy in this past year more than once and 2 weeks before Christmas he definitely earned not just business and respect but friendship he went above and beyond to make sure my fiancé got an almost brand new HP laptop 17.3 inch touch screen at that and just gave me a remarkable price and deal!!! Randy thank you so much buddy she definitely loves this laptop and again I look forward to doing future business with you hands down only pawn shop and gentleman I’ll always feel comfortable to do business with!!! Folks if you have never met or delt with Randy give him a try he’s not just in it for the money he understands and cares for people!!!

    Response from the owner

Thank you Kris for the awesome review! I'm so happy that your fiancé loves her new laptop and that I always try to make everyone happy. I would not be here if it weren't for my customers, like you, who appreciate not being treated like just another person. I feel as though I'm creating a family with you all and the family keeps getting bigger! The more the merrier!! :-)

My first and last experience at this establishment involved a trade of various pieces of music gear for an amp he had on display. I presented over $600 worth of gear for him to choose what he wanted for a $300 Item($600 is a very conservative estimate). Knowing how pawn shops operate I expected him to want it all in return for his item and he did, except for a couple of less valuable items, worth about $80. I asked him how much difference would I have to pay if I kept one of the items he wanted to include in the trade. He told me $80 We finally settled on $60 and I paid him. He did not remove the item for which I had paid $60 to keep from the items which were his from the trade so I asked him if I got to keep the item I had just paid for. He said no. Because I know how pawn shops operate, I was not upset that he had tried to break it off in me getting so much merchandise plus some cash for his overpriced item. I could live with that, but when he claimed he got the item I had just made a deal with him to keep I was incensed. I got my money back and carried the car load of equipment back home I had worked all afternoon to sort and pack. I find it hard to believe someone in the pawn business for 28 years could get so far off base when making a trade. Either he understood what he was doing or something else is going on there. If you decide to do business there I would suggest you keep written notes during negotiations to avoid the deal changing after it is done. So much for trying to deal with a new pawn shop, I'll stay with the old ones rooted in reality who try to make fair deals. After I file this review I plan to buy the exact same item online for $50 cheaper. I will have to pick it up in Fayetteville but I will still have $600 worth of gear I can sell and I will be away from this economically deprived area and the people who profit from it for a while. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to be thorough and accurate. Thanks for reading! I understand you getting your buddies to attack me because of my review, after all you need to stay in business. I don't believe for a minute I misunderstood anything Randy. When we had the two piles we agreed on for the swap laid out and the mobile DVD player was in the pile you were to get, I don't believe for a minute you misunderstood my question when I asked "How much cash would you need if I keep the DVD player?". I have a college education with certification to teach advanced math through Calculus, as well as a teaching field in history so playing me off like some dim wit who can't follow a simple negotiation isn't going to fly. I've heard nothing concerning how you could have been the one who misunderstood the negotiation. If that was the case , perhaps admitting that possibility would have looked better here than having you buddies attack and demean me.

    Response from the owner

Gary, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding that really, I think, caught us both off guard. I was actually clear that I did not want some of the items that you brought in. I had every item separated into what we agreed to trade for and what I wasn't interested in. You agreed to the deal and as I started writing up the trade, you must have rethought the whole thing and then became angry for no other reason than you thought I should NOT be able to make a profit. I have to make a profit and I can not just swap dollars. I apologize for any inconvenience or your misunderstanding of the situation. We have traded for years and I just don't know why you snapped. I feel like I was being very fair with you. I would like to see you again and continue to have a great relationship between us. If you still have hard feelings then I would like to reconcile the problem. Give me a call or come by anytime. Thanks, Randy Gary, I respect your decision to write a bad review about me and I can't control what other people have to say about your review. I have, in no way, had any of my "buddies" attack you or demean you. They have a mind of their own, just like you. If it makes you feel better to slander me and attack me, than so be it. I have been to college as well and studied Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry and mathematical physics. But all of this really has no meaning other than to compare notes. Again, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings and you are always welcome to visit my establishment. Maybe one day we will find a middle ground to stand on and we will once again shake hands. Take care and God bless, Randy

Gary if your so sure that you know exactly what's going to happen in a pawn shop then why even go in one at all. It sounds like to me that you had already made up you mind that you were gonna be hard to deal with if things dident go exactly the way you wanted it to. Then you were gonna leave upset go straight to your computer and try and slander a good local small owner and his business. Anyways I have been dealing with Randy for years and as Tom mentioned he is a tough negotiator and he knows his business, but I have sold and traded literally thousands of dollars worth of merchandise with him at his old location and his new one already. Sometimes the deal goes his way and sometimes it goes mine but at the end of the day I always feel good about my deal and have never felt like he just wants to take advantage of every person that walks through the door. He is one of the only shops in the river valley that is clean, organized, and that will greet you with a smile and ask you how you day is going every time you walk in the door.

    Response from the owner

Thank you Josh! This is a very nice review, as always, I really appreciate you and your business. Have a great day!

I've known Randy Faldon for eight years, and have bought a lot of merchandise from him. No doubt, he's a tough bargainer, but the process has always been fair. I congratulate Randy on opening his new shop. There always seems to be room for another loan location. I read stories from time to time of people who feel they got a raw deal in a pawn shop. These unsatisfied customers usually are people who don't understand that the TV they purchased at Walmart no longer has the same value as collateral as it did when it was just off the shelf. This is true not just at a pawn shop, but at any merchant who deals in used merchandise. Pawn shops give people needing small loans options they no longer find anywhere else. By the way, it's always buyer beware. Always has been, and always will be.

    Response from the owner

Thank you Tom, I know that every deal can't be closed, but you know as well as I do, if we can't make a deal, I never have hard feelings. I always appreciate everyone that comes to my establishment to make a deal or just wants to check out all the new merchandise. You're an intelligent guy and I respect your opinion. Better yet, I have a lot of respect for you and your ethics. Don't be a stranger, in fact, bring me a sack of hundreds and I'll pick out some merchandise for you. ;-)

Randy treats u like he's knows u all his life , he always makes me feel welcome one time I asked 100 bucks for something and he said no way I give u 300 for it because I don't want to do anyone worng so I knew he was good people. What I was leaving my truck wouldn't start we Randy even gave me a ride home. No one would do that anymore. We need more people just like Randy running stuff around her. Thank u again Randy,... the kind of guy u would take a bullet for ya , wish he was in vanburen

    Response from the owner

Thanks for your kind words and you hit the nail on the head! I'm here to help anyone that I can. I would love to be in Van Buren, but the owners of the buildings that I wanted think that made of gold. That's why I went to Fort Smith and I will open up a store there in the near future. People need someone that they can trust and get them through a rough patch. This has always been my passion. Helping everyone is my bucket list. Thanks Charley!
