I would give negative stars if i could. I had a charge on my account that i didn't recognize and they were literally rude stating i had the same charge last year as well. I explained that I was unaware of the charge then as well and never saw it. I asked to block my credit card. Then they said i would have to do a dispute and have it notarized. I asked why and they were flat rude to me. I said just forget blocking my card then. They then stated if any charges come thru after our call they will not be responsible if i don't block the card. I have never been treated so rudely by someone in customer service. I will be changing banks asap. Sharon (member services manager) is amazing. I called back and spoke with her and she took care of me completely.
Thank you for letting us know about this experience. We are sorry you were dissatisfied with the customer service you received, and we will use this feedback to improve service in the future. Given the situation as you've described it here, you (or others) may want to know that we offer an app that is free for members called CardValet, which alerts you to transactions like this one and allows you to temporarily block and unblock your own card at your discretion. Unfortunately, if a card is compromised by fraud, we do have to block it and replace the card for the security of your funds.

ABFCU is the worst bank I’ve dealt with. They do not care about you and will talk down to you like you’re worthless. I talked to a loan officer and was asking for help and the Loan officer seemed like she could care less about my situation and that there was nothing she could do about it and was not even willing or concerned to find a resolution. I hate to even write a review like this, but what they’ve done is wrong. And now I’m facing the repercussions. Do not do business with this credit union. Learn from my mistake.
We are so sorry you've had this experience with ABFCU, and we have forwarded this information to our lending manager. We appreciate your feedback, and hope to provide a better experience for you going forward.

I've had my account here for many years. I'm recently very very displeased with the customer service in the member services and the loan department. Everyone used to be so nice and helpful. Staffing was changed and I have not a single encounter with even mediocre customer service. I will not be a member here much longer and our entire family and fleet will also be changing financial institutions. I do not recommend.
We are sorry your recent experience with ABFCU has not been a positive one. We want to provide our members with excellent customer service, so we appreciate your feedback.

I dont even know where to start... I use to love banking here, but the last few years have been a roller coaster ride. Ive been banking here for well over 10 years. A few years ago, I went to refinance my car, hoping to get a lower interest rate, which I did. The loan officer was super friendly, (seems like her name was Becky) and the whole process was smooth, quick, GREAT. Fast forward, and I called and spoke to a rep about skipping a payment. I had done this many times before, never had an issue. The lady on the phone agreed and i asked specifically, "ill be skipping this coming payment, correct?" I was told yes, Low and Behold, next months payment was taken out automatically from my check so I called. this time, things weren't so smooth. They were rude and after I was transferred to the same person that approved the loan to begin with, I was told that basically, I was a liar. This is only one of many issues over the past few years. More than once, they have told me one thing only to tell me later that wasn't true and that they would never tell me that. Its become a joke really. Lately, my loan payment which has always come out of my check just "stopped coming out" of my check. I get a nasty e-letter telling me that they "could" report me to the credit bureau if I didn't pay. Well, guess what... Because I was late paying, they took away my option to pay online. I emailed Jordan, who was courteous, but basically told me that I was revoked from paying my payment because I was late on my payment which had always been taken out of my check automatically in the past.. Wait, What? Ill upload a snippet of the email, last names have been erased. Keep in mind this payment wasnt 30 days late at the time. I know someone will respond telling me how "sorry" they are for my experience, but how about this... To whom may respond, instead of responding with some canned message about how sorry you are, why not try actually doing something about it. Fix your customer service, dont tell us one thing only to find out later it isnt true. If you cant do that, you might want to change the name to Ark Worst Fed Credit Union.
Thank you for bringing our attention to the issues you have experienced. A member of our management team will be reaching out to you directly.

I have been a member for many years and their customer service has gone very far downhill in the last couple of years. I had a simple question about my loan once and was told by Becky, the loan officer, that "this was in the agreements you signed, you can close the loan if you don't like it" when I had no inclination of terminating the loan. Why would you actively push members away like that? They used to be fantastic to work with but are now just the worst.
Sofie, your membership is valuable to us, and we are sorry the experience you had with us left you feeling pushed away. Thank you for your feedback, as we do make every effort to provide our members with excellent customer service.

I have been a member of Arkansas Best Federal Credit Union (ABFCU) since November 2013 and will shortly be closing my accounts permanently. Why? As part of ABFCU's "Better and Brighter Banking" initiative it is no longer possible to see who the merchant is for online transactions. Instead of "PayPal / UBER" or "PayPal / FAKE NAME" all it will now show is "PayPal" since I do not give out my card numbers to random websites online and ONLY use PayPal.com or Privacy.com for questionable or one time use sites I will no longer be able to see if a transaction is expected or valid. Between the continued loss of functionality, the online bill pay which has NEVER worked properly, the lack of integration with money management systems and data breaches which they will not provide details regarding it is time to look elsewhere.
We are very sorry we are no longer able to provide the details you need. We appreciate your membership at ABFCU and are sorry to hear that you plan to close your account.

Worst bank I’ve ever had. I have had them for almost 10 years and the customer service has always been terrible. If you’re ever in a bind or need something fixed on your account, you cannot count on them to do anything. All they will do is sit and do nothing all day long. Teak your business elsewhere. I now have an account with Bank OZK and so far their customer service is outstanding. This bank should be named Arkansas WORST Federal Credit Union. Edit to add after the owner’s response: There are tons of people saying your customer service is terrible. You can sit there and say you “strive to make members happy”, but you’re obviously not doing anything to change the serious flaws your branch has. Maybe take this feedback and actually do something about it.
We are sorry you've had a bad experience. We strive to give our members the best possible experience, so we are grateful for your feedback.

I've been there over 20yrs. Easy online banking. That's it!!! The manager needs to get off that pretty little white horse she rides and have a little RESPECT for her employees and us who give her a job. Seen it for the last time Wednesday. In progress looking for another bank with better attitude
Thank you for your feedback on this issue, as it will allow us to serve our members better in the future. We are sorry your experience with ABFCU was a source of frustration for you. We were unaware that there was an issue when you left our branch, but would love to have the opportunity to further discuss the situation. Please call us at 479-649-2060 at your convenience.

We have been banking here for a few years and every time I call to pay my loan they are so rude! Every person that I speak to is rude. I have never had worse customer service from a bank than I have had here.
Heather, thank you for providing this feedback. We strive to treat our members with the upmost respect and are sorry you did not feel this way when calling our branch.
