PremierOne Credit Union V, San Jose

We got our mortgage loan through PremierOne and we had such a great experience! Kat helped us lock in a very low rate (lowest by 2% compared to 5 other lenders we got quotes from) Kat was also really helpful and supportive throughout, which we needed as first time homebuyers. It felt rare to find the best rates and service all in one bank.

This is an amazing hidden gem of a credit union in today's cynical "don't care" banking environment. The folks here know what customer service actually means. Thank you Annette for listening and working diligently with me on my loan needs. Simply awesome!

I mailed in a payment since I will be out of town. I followed up with Premier One after three days because my check did not clear. I was told I will get a call back that day and nobody called me backs I followed ups this morning. The member service representative was rude, you can tell over the phone if someone is being genuinely nice and she was not. I expressed my concerned she mentioned the person who checks the mail does not check it everyday and their is not a set time they check it. So they expect me to or have ran expectation of them opening their mail. This is a bad practice especially since people mail in their payments. You cannot make a payment over the phone or online with Premier One unless the funds are being paid out of a Premier One Credit Union account . I only have an account there for a loan with a good rates on loan ( you have to open an account with them for a auto or any loan). I do all my banking with another bank and don’t want to change my direct deposit just to make this one payment. I typically make payment in branch but since I knew I was going out of town I mailed a payment.

I've been banking here for 25 years... Back before they merged and used to be called National Semiconductor Credit Union. We just refinanced our house with PremierOne. It was painless and SHANNON is a fantastic loan officer. She explained everything very well and had excellent communications with us, all through the process.

Been a member for 20 something years. Horrible service as a bank, when they were San Jose Credit Union there were NO problems, I can't stand Premier One, they're response time is horrible, they have short hours that most banks don't have. I had to reorder my debit card, 1 month later I still received nothing, after 2 months and going through various departments to get my card, thier VP of member services or something said he wanted to reimburse me a target gift card for 5 dollars!! After me living on my credit card, at least they could have helped me out with that, no, again I can't stand them. Sorry, 1 star until they get thier act together
